TF2 toys : production has started
My source told me production for TF2 toys has just started! Only one toy for now, and it's leader class. Prime? Fallen? Starscream? Megatron? He doesn't know yet. The first few samples should surface sometimes in August he said... That's so early. He also said TF2 toys will be extremely difficult to obtain. We'll see, Animated samples seem to be harder and harder to find too.

Re: TF2 toys : production has started
And TF1 toys are still clogging up the majority of the Transformers sections in every store I've been to. We're not going to get any kind of reprieve from the Faceless Wonders, are we?

Re: TF2 toys : production has started
i think i'm going to pass on these figs lol, the first movie figs ended up in a box, with no chance of returning to the shelves, they don't really match the aesthetics of the other lines i collect

Really? I think the movie toys actually borrow a lot from previous lines like RID, BW and BM when it comes to headsculpts... The car brothers could easily pass for movie toys...

Re: TF2 toys : production has started
This makes me slightly nervous. Hopefully the communication between Bay, ILM & Hasbro is a lot better this time around so that we don't end up with even more figures that only slightly resemble the way they look in the movie. It would be nice to not have to wait until 2010 for more accurate molds and/or pain schemes.

This is the same thing I'm thinking. There is no way at this point the robot designs are final. I don't need the toys to be 100% accurate, but I don't want them way off either...

Re: TF2 toys : production has started
Will they have even finished filming by August? It just goes to show how long it takes to go from concept to store shelf.

Re: TF2 toys : production has started
Hopefully since both the actual film and the toyline have a bigger budget they can produce higher quality figs. But I agree, this is too early.
