here's what i do:
1) disassembly
2) cleaning
3) light sanding.
4) cleaning again
5) paint
6) light sanding again
7) depending how many coats i repeat 3 and 5.
8) top coat
9) protective coat.
here's what i should do:
1) disassembly

3) sanding the previous paint.
4) cleaning again
5) prime
6) light sanding
7) paint
8) very light sanding again.
9) depending how many coats, repeat 7 and 8.
10) top coat
11) protective coat
i skipped a lot of steps.
i'm not the most patient guy. if this was for a commission or favour to a friend. i'd never skip.
so far i haven't primed yet. iron hide was never primed either. i've used testors. they're great but too expensive (it comes in a tiny bottle) for me. i never painted any toys before this either. although now, i think i should just take my time, if not it takes longer. i got away with not priming before but nowadays... sigh.
almost forgot, touch ups. i have lots on this one and i really mean ALOT.
