Re: Transformers: The Movie 25th Anniversary
I wish I was old enough to have seen it in theatres, but I remember staying up late to watch it everytime it came on tv.
I just wish that they had a little bit more fanfare this year for the 25th anniversary of the movie (maybe instead of the Animated Stunticons at Botcon, they could have done a box set of special edition G1 figures or Classics Figures to represent the main cast).

Re: Transformers: The Movie 25th Anniversary
This movie forever changed TF for me... I just didn't like the TV show as much afterwards. Season 3 with the new crew didn't captivate me as much, as a kid, and I slowly stopped watching the show on TV (was it 1986? Wow...). Now I am actually finding out for the first time what happened with Season 3 on DVDs.

Lenard Nimoy NAILED Galvatron's voice. Nothing against Welker of course, but Galvatron sounded way too wimpy and whiney in the TV Show.

After watching the entire TF G1 series on DVD, I realized why I forgot about TF in the first place. Season 3 really sucked!!!

That's also because his personality changed. Galvatron became insane from Unicron's tortures/the plasma bath and had personally lost his whole empire.
Storily, it makes alot of sense and added a great character drama.

Re: Transformers: The Movie 25th Anniversary
What a memory! I was 9 years old and went to watch it on opening day in the theater, 25 years ago! Unreal. I was with my cousin and he was beside himself when all those Autobots where blown to bits. I was thoroughly entertained...and finally content when Starscream became Decepticon leader! Then he was melted by Galvatron. Oh, the travesty! This movie will live in my heart forever.
Where were you when Prime went dark?
Happy 25th!

Funny enough, I was also with my older cousin watching the movie too. I recall the theatre being pretty empty, maybe 20-30 people. There were a lot of "whoahs" and gasps when Spike said sh!t. All the Autobots dying was quite depressing and a few kids could be heard crying
