It won't affect what I buy, but it will affect where I buy it!

Re: Will all these rollback and sales change your buying habit?

Since I haven't had much income the past couple of months, almost the entire year to be exact sales are a godsend. Tomorrow I'm going to Tru and walking home with two more Animated deuxes. When my deadbeat Uncle pays me for the work I did October 31st next Monday I'm going back on Tuesday and hopeing to God they haven't sold out of the ones I'm interested in so I can score four more and get caught up with deluxes.

Anything higher scale wise is impossible to get and I haven't gotten anything from Universe yet. Maybe if I score some free cash this Christmas I'll finally add some of those figures to my Classics collection. But a part of me has been starting to want to finish off past collections again. I guess it happens around this time of year. If I could get the last Seven items I need for Armada I'd have the entire collection. The first time ever that's happened and then maybe I'll know what I'll do and how I'll feel completing 100% to my satisfaction a Transformers series.

Yarp. I impulsed on an Animated Soundwave at Walmart & I didn't even really want it. I don't know if I'm going to open it or just give it to a Christmas toy drive.

These "rollbacks" will definitely encourage me to buy those "borderline" figures - figures that I may not have normally purchasd unless they were dirt cheap.

Re: Will all these rollback and sales change your buying habit?

Well I finally caved in and grabbed Oil Slick.

I almost grabbed a Octane/Tankor, but then I remembered I really don't have any interest in the figure/character. It's cheap, but it's still money.

Even at this cheap price I'm still not interested in some figures (Galvatron, Acid Storm, Tankor), Money is money afterall.

I *might* grab Elite Guard Bumblebee if I see him. Depends what kind of mood I'm in.

Cheers!
-Ian

P.S. Does Ironhide still have his Blue Face? If so I'll hold out for my Henkei preorder, if it's been changed to silver, I'll cancel it.

I only see Henkei on sales from BBTS, never experience sales on Henkei from other online or local retailers. So that is why I decided to quit Henkei, instead I will just collect the US version from now on. There are almost sales all the time from Walmart, Toy's R Us, Zellers. I don't feel like I have to care about figures will be sold out anymore which I never had experience of missing out of a figure.

All these half price sales and rollbacks make me very sad... when I think of all the cash I wasted getting EVERYTHING at full retail earlier in the year...

Re: Will all these rollback and sales change your buying habit?

Not only changing my buying habit, it also changes my sales habit. The sales on US deluxe does a big big influence on the sales for Japanese released Henkei, as the price is almost double or triple like you said. Not too many people are willing to pay the price for something too similar. The recent released Henkei quality does get very close to the US released. When you buy a Henkei, you have to ask yourself does it worth double or triple the price for just some chrome parts? Everything after Jetfire just look identical to the US released. It does effect people who sells Henkei seriously. You are putting yourself at a very high risk of not getting your money back in a long run if you sell Henkei.
