What was the top 10 Transformers of the year for you guys, can be anything from mainline 3rd party.

*looks back @ 2021 purchases, attempting to limit to figs released within the year*

It's tough for me to judge, because some figs I really like but get relegated to statues
And some are maybe not as statuesque, but I enjoy the hell out of fiddling with while watchin TV etc

1) SS86 Hot Rod
Unabashed HotRod fan, this fig is awesome
Worst thing I could say about it is I'm so worried about destroying it (QA, paint chips) that he's basically a statue now
Kingdom RP might also be amazing, but I haven't opened it yet so can't judge

2) Kingdom Dinobot (& Grimlock retool)
An amazing fiddler, once you figure out how to properly enclose those beast hips - bought an extra one for the wife, so got a bot & a raptor around the living room at all times
Also the Grimlock retool's new bot head is *chef's kiss*

3) SS86 Grimlock
Again, beautiful rendition of the character
spend more time as t-rex due to fear of scratching up the paint on his yellow bot chest from dynamic arm poses (not much clearance there)
SS86 Slag probably also rules, but haven't opened him yet so can't judge

4) SS86 Scourge/Sweeps
"alt mode with his head out" does it for me every time, don't even care about the painted hips & shellformer-nature

5) Kingdom Huffer
really beautiful figure
worried about paint scratches from dynamic bot arms, considering his arms are all painted silver, and again, not much shoulder clearance, especially during transformation

6) Kingdom Inferno
a beautiful figure, AND fixed ER Grapple's peg issue

7) Buzzworthy BB WorldsCollide Bumblebee & Fangry
Sorry to put these together but they are both excellent fiddlers imo
the BB for being the best "playable" version of BB in this mold (Netflix being super rare gives the "this now a statue" effect, plus that weird windshield/collarbone connection a bit sketchy)
and if u don't like WorldsCollide Fangry i'm sorry, but u don't have a heart - this guy is hilarious

8) Kingdom Galvatron
a nice, playable, accurate Galvs

9) Kingdom "earthmode" Sideswipe/Selects DeepCover
dunno if this a cheat since the mold is from Siege, and practically unchanged - it's so good though, and felt SO GOOD to be rewarded for putting off picking up Siegeswipe

10) Botropolis Rescue Mission team
best decos on these two deluxe molds, best micromaster pair (red version of cannon-truck bros), and the shuttle duo sticks together better than the retail (for me)
Plus, if you take the white rocket topper (from Doubledealer), take off one of "Astroworks"' two back ramp/panels? Can then attach the white rocket topper to his back, like a big jetpack, with an autobot symbol right over his head, awesome
(can re-attach the ramp by connecting to the bottom of the other one, kinda hangs low like coattails; never mind that it'd get in the way of the rocket jetpack, it's FUN)

Top rankings off the top of my head:

- Unicron (even with the paint deco changes).
- Cyclonus (best transformation engineering in years).
- Masterpiece Skids (only MP I got all year but he is great).
- Sweep (Best Recolor as he had better color than Scouge IMHO).
- Seeker 2 Pack (Best Late Arrival... glad it finally arrived in 2021).
- Wingthing (best Fossilizer).
- Sludge (best Cyberverse).
- Soundwave (best Core class).
- Hot Rod (Best SS as well as best Deluxe at Voyager price... LOL)
- Tigatron (Best BW figure as I got BA in late 2020).
- Kingdom Inferno (Best Better use of the mold).

- Worst mold of the year for QC issues: BW Megatron and T-Wrecks. Back piece broke on every copy I tried and the fake skin arm flaps were always warped.

My top 10 are:

10. Selects Deep Cover a cool repaint from early in the year.

9. SS 86 Slag, more impressive than Grimlock I dare say.

8. SS 86 Sweeps they look really good.

7. Kingdom Huffer, an underrated bot. Does everything a Huffer should do. A fun fiddler bot.

6. Kingdom Ark, a cool concept long overdue. For the money if it was bigger and changed into a play set instead of a robot I would have been just as happy.

5. Selects G2 Ramjet, simple but beautiful.

4. Kingdom Cyclonus, solid transformation and look. Similar to Galvatron his proportions look a bit big and he?s a bit long in the face or maybe the head is just a little large.

3. Kingdom Rodimus Prime, cheeping out on painting the wheels is about the one of the 2 sins this toy made. Easily fixable with some time and patience. The other is the cannons not fitting in the trailer so it?ll close well so cannons to storage for now. If FP had made a better face sculpt for the protector kit I might not have bought this but I?m glad I did. Fun to transform and play around with.

2. SS86 Hot Rod. I?ll forgive the faux chest but it is a good figure. Nice blend of toon and classic styling and colour. I used to have the MP Hot Rod but it was just too plain looking from the cartoon colouring. I like some pop, zip and detail to my figures and this just hits it.

1. Selects Galvatron. Even un-stickered as mine still is I marvel and stare at it and I haven?t put it away. I had Kingdom Galvatron and took it back to get this one. The purple just bored me, I thought the scale was a little off compared to Rodimus and OP but I pulled out Magnus and now it looks like he fits best with him. Even made his gun mode the other day.

10. Kingdom Dinobot - at 10 cause mine had a floppy ankle out of the box. Would've been 6th otherwise.

Honorable Mention: MP Lio Convoy would surely be on this list, if I opened it yet.
