Beats me... but according to Hasbro Canada they will be. As far as I know Toy R Us in Canada has yet to order them in so it will be a while before we see them. Perhaps the decision to order them will depend on how much shelf space there is after their sales.

Turns out I was right, Bruticus and Superion are Target exclusives. Assuming like most Target exclusives these will be Zellers exclusives and it has be updated here as such.

Well the Classics Devastator 5 pack was $30 in the US, which is equivalent to their Ultra retail price. Since we never got the Devastator set we'll use the equivalancy pricing method, thus since our retail price for Ultras is typically $40 its safe to assume that these sets if brought here will be at least $40.

Thanks, I fell like I haven't touched these in a while but we haven't been updated with new info recently....and I never understood why they were called sjarkticons...they looked and acted like pirhanas so pirhanacon works (yet eventually was taken) bot the -con suffix makes it a decepticon when its not...it suits the energon version though :P

I am pretty confident we've yet to hear if this item will infact be released through Hasbro. However, given that it's a repaint of an already manufactured mold, I can only speculate that Hasbro will HAVE to release it at some point. lol

When were these canceled?! I can assume assume they were canceled from a Canadian release as I purchased Sharkticon vs. Snarl and Hardshell vs. Perceptor while in Alexandria, Minnesota in January.

So the "Battle for the Cyberkeys" 5-pack isn't a target exclusive? That puts a damper on things for me. I was looking forward to that set because I really wanted all five of those molds (Buzzsaw has been on my must have list for a while now) without paying inflated prices on ebay.
Oh well... looks like I'll just have to keep an eye out for deals on the secondary market. I just hope the Superion Maximus and Bruticus Maximus sets come my way so I have the chance to see them in person and decide if I want them or not.

Ok, I am way confused by that Universe Robot Heroes Canceled thing? Probably 'cause I don't check the news enough when it comes to toyline info over at TFW... But does that mean those figures will never come out ever or does it mean that Universe is being put on hold until RoTF is finished with?

Or does it mean they will be re-packaged as G1 Robot Heroes during the RotF line much like the first few waves were originally G1 or non-movie characters but still part of the movie line officially?

Heck I still haven't gotten any RH figures since I picked up the Wal-Mart five pack with the Invisible Mirage. My RH collection is woefully inadequate and locating all the guys I'm missing is going to be a pain when I finally get the extra cash aside for the cute little buggers once more.

Is all of Universe considered to be cancelled like Classics now because of sales/movie stuff? Maybe that's why Wal-Mart had that sale, because the line is discontinued. :( :mad:

By the way, is it just me or is Cheetor the bigget shelf warmer of them all?

Canceled means those figures won't be coming out in any market. Though Hasbro has said that they may be released at some point down the line, perhaps in a set of 10 or whatever but the packs of 2 for those characters won't be done.

I don't see why they wouldn't release them in some shape or form in the future if the molds are done.

Did they give a reason for why they were cancelled? Focusing on RotF? Universe is being phased out so that instead of an actual sub-line as it was originally meant to be it now becomes the second coming of Classics in more than just spirit? Sales of RH figures is suffering? That sort of thing?

Anyone know how much longer they are going to sell the Universe Figures for ? The Kitchener/Waterloo area is almost completely dry (I only find Cheetors). But have been searching for a Deluxe Galvatron & Ironhide for a while now.

Fearing no one will restock these figures since they're from 08 to begin with ?

You probably won't find them other then Wal-marts outside of major cities, in the countryside of Ontario. Ironhide was sort of difficult to find as is, Galvatron was a shelf warmer but your best bet is to just buy them off seller on this site, or ask in the Ontario sightings thread.

Hasbro: With the schedule being unstickied on Cybertron.ca we felt interest in the line was lagging and took the appropriate steps to move forward and cancel the line.

Generation 1 based toys have a small but vocal fanbase, but unfortunatly are not economically feasible for us at this time.

Be sure to watch for the replacement line, featuring Deluxe Movie Hubcap, Deluxe Movie Runabout and Deluxe Movie Erector, coming soon to a Target retailer near you.
