I think he's worth it at full retail price. Sales are good but o really don't bother waiting for sales anymore. I'll price adjust if it's within the 45 tru or 90 day Walmart return but I usually don't bother unless it's a big chunck off. I'm going to grab the upgrade set as well.
I got my hands on both versions of megatron this week.

I still feel it's a bit overpriced for what you're getting. Red on the inside of the forearms shouldn't be there, nor should that color appear on the shoulder connection joints or above his chest. The arms themselves don't even connect at shoulder height, but rather further down to be parallel to the chest....just the wrong positioning/proportions at the end of the day. If I bought this mold, it would only be at a sale price and I would then only ever display it in tank mode. That robot mode is just straight-up awful. For the kind of money they want on a leader class toy now, I'd rather put it towards Jetfire or the Thundercracker repaint.

Only the fusion cannon is poorly engineered. Should have been able to rotate completely out of the way on the side of the arm. Rest of the figure is awesome, especially the headsculpt.

BEST MEGATRON BY HASBRO EVER HANDS DOWN !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Worth every Penny not like the hollow mess Jetfire and there is no MP Megatron just Apollyon and while I do have one on the way I am not sure it will be that great (x-transbots Suck IMHO)

I grabbed him so I could hold him and feel him out. I'm not really loving him. I think $60 is overpriced. $40 maybe? If you love Megatron I would say pick him up on sale. He's not for me.

I think it looks great... not masterpiece quality but great nonetheless. I would love for him to go for $20 like Jetfire... but I don't see that happening, at least not anytime soon... and given the popularity of Megatron.

For me, besides my dislike about the shoulder joints being out of position out of place and too much red being used, I also don't feel as though it scales well with many collections. This CW Megatron is too short to be a Masterpiece stand-in as he's not even as tall as MP-10 and much too overly sized compared to classics Optimus Prime.

I get that some people believe Megatron should be larger than Optimus, but a leader sized class vs a voyager size is overly excessive.

I'll be getting Apollyon for my Masterpiece collection and will be eagerly waiting for Mega Steel's Granville to fit in with my classics:

This CW Megatron has no place to fit other than as an interesting tank.

I did not get one in my area at either price and I was out of town when I found mine @ $29.95, but main point is Megatron mold is 100x's better then the Jetfire mold

There have been some pretty good and inexpensive kits too fill the gaps if your objection is that it's too hollow. The mold itself is not a bad mold, just was a little incomplete by being hollow, but that's easily fixable.

Not for me. Goes nowhere in my collection. Too big for CHUG and too mediocre for MP. If it were a voyager I'd like it though. I'd only buy this if I found one on sale super cheap.

He is definitely worth getting although I paid $70US for him online. I didn't think he would show up in Canada so soon or here at all since we don't always get all the figures here. Still no sign of Brainstorm, Arcee or Chromia yet. It looks great with the red accents too reminds me of my G1 Megatron. He scales well in tank mode with the CHUG line as tanks are usually little bigger than trucks. A modern version of Megatron should be bigger than Prime IMO so he is going with my Classics shelf. It is too small and thin for the MP line even with the add on kit added to it.

to each his own I think the $200 that I paid for Apollyon in a rip off since I got MP-22 and MP-24 for way less $150 shipped. Also Apollyon and CW megatgron are the real close to the same size. CW megatron might even be bigger with the add-on kit. The Head sculpt is also bang on.

I picked him last night on more of a whim then on a need to own. I open him this morning and my 1st thoughts were I paid way to much for this, BUT as I played around with it and transformed him to tank and back to robot I really ended up liking him and would recommend him! He comes with a sticker sheet and has actual real rubber tracks that really move!! Very impressed with this offering from Hasbro!!

In hand, I'm loving him... and while I'm hoping for a price drop in the next 45 days, I'm still satisfied.

I was looking at the MM Power Rangers figures for example and they're 20 bucks a pop, much smaller than a Marvel Legends figure and look cheap as hell. Hell, it's 90 bucks (before tax) for a Legacy Tiger Zord. At least Hasbro painted Megs, instead of using plain gray plastic as they've done with several Generations Voyagers in the past.

One thing's for certain, Megs is sure selling, considering the amount of Armada Megs on the shelf.

I would highly doubt that it would happen. I'm sure when Jetfire showed up it was to start for xmas shopping or something like that or they were late to the market with that figure and wanted to blow it out. IMO TRU sale or price matching or adjusting will be the way to get him cheaper

Thanks Masta. Looks wayyy better with the add on kit. I especially like the leg parts. Evens out the proportions. But it costs as much as the figure would be when on sale. Might be an impulse buy at an upcoming show if I manage to find leader Megs on sale.

Btw I thought price adjustments only work for 14 days after date of purchase. What's this 45 days people are referring to?
