That's kinda naïve. There's so much protection for buyers there is no reason not to use ebay. The only time to be wary is if the item price is too good to be true (looking at you black mp10)

The real problem with eBay is that you're forced to pay shipping if something is wrong and you have to ship a toy back for refund or exchange.

And that can be extremely expensive

The mold itself is definitely worth it. As for colours or varients, it's whatever you can find. I believe there is a transparent version. I would probably go for that one.
