It's just something I noticed and wondered if any of you have noticed it as well. If you look carefully at the Autobot logo, it's looks like a sad face. I know some of you might think this is a silly question, but why is the Autobot symbol looks like a lot like a sad face?

I thought the autobot logo was based on Prowl's face, and the Decepticon logo based on Soundwave?

If you're referring to IRL, it seems like the symbol was based on Prowl's TOY face.

The Autobot symbol is based on The Last Autobot (in IDW). There is no Transformer bearing a face like the symbol in Japanese continuity to my knowledge.

No Decepticon sports a face like their insignia either though IRL it is based on Soundwave's TOY face.

Ya, I've noticed the "sad face" thing as well. It's probably those vertical lines that are at the sides that make it look like it's crying.

But if you look at it upside down, it looks a lot more cheerful.

I thought it was the letter H for Hasbro hidden in the Autobot face. Under the nose above the chin. In the early 80s they liked to hide their logos in designs. The 1982-83 GIjoes had it hidden on the figures belt buckles a H symbol for Hasbro then later the H with the house in it like the early Hasbro logo. I think there is an H logo on some early My Little Ponies and Charmkins (Early 80s girl toys) too.

Seeing as how it's supposed to be based off of Prowl's face, it would make sense that it's scowling since Prowl is never happy.

Well if the Decepticons insignia is Soundwave's face and the Autobots's Prowl's face, shouldn't they be leaders instead? Just saying

Soundwave originally was going to be the Decepticon leader. It was changed to Megatron by the comicbook writer.

iirc,cybertron vector prime's face is also a autobot logo,so i'm sure his japanese/galaxy force iteration shared the same head/face,but probably way better paint apps.
