Thanks to a sighting by xelement24x we now know that Transformers Prime Beast Hunters Wave 1 has been released at Canadian retail. Are these pretty much the same thing as the regular Prime (except Lazerback and Soundwave including Ravage instead of Laserbeak), but with ugly looking spikes on them? Pass.

Me after I read the full thread and heard that the Beast Hunters Kre-O sets had arrived. => :clapping:'Alright! Kre-O is awesome, you can't go wrong with new Kre-O sets, I wonder what the price range is in Canada for these sets? And I can't wait to see the smaller sets with Trailcutter and Windcharger Micro-Changers show up.'

So even if the news is that now we have to hope, pray, and cross our fingers that Giant Tiger and Winners pull us through the dark times with all the deluxes Wal-Mart and TRU never bothered stocking past wave one due to their shitty ordering system, at least there's the fun of Kre-O.

Are you kidding? With all the times this year they re-stocked DotM deluxes and then had the First Editions languishing around in numbers of a sort we haven't seen since the truly dark days.

I'm surprised they even stocked wave one period.

Please go back and re-read both posts, my comment was direct towards the fact that pandaprime called TRU a dedicated retailer of Toys and pretty much only toys, or in other words a big box store that stocks shelves full of toys in bulk kind of similar to Costco and food.

So I was saying that with TRU re-stocking only with DotM is it any wonder they didn't bring in the later waves of PRID where Wal-Mart also failed to do so? Wal-Mart at least had the excuse of downsizing their TF department and apparently not ordering much of anything for the better part of a year. What the hell was TRU's excuse for not bringing in stock of Waves2-5 of PRID Deluxes?

Seriously this past year reminds me of those dark, dark days prior to the arrival of Beast Wars when G2 was on its way out and we didn't have the internet to tell us that new product WAS coming or could be bought at online retailers.

Is it just me or is that Soundwave color choice terrible? I mean I was all interested in him back when we saw preliminary photos, but it seems Hasbro has changed the colors since then to this godawful neon green schlock.

Or was he always that color and the old stock photos just used the original Soundwave toy with Ravage to show backwards compatibility? Because those hands on the new Soundwave look like they've been remolded too.

Saw these yesterday.

They really were seeming like cheap KOs. Not just the colors but the look - you could tell the plastic was even cheaper than normal by looking closely at the fig.

that's good. i think whats making them look so cheap is the color choices, which could use a different shade i think.

I hate to tell you this, but that's typical pricing for Wal-Mart, LEGO Mini-Figures are also priced as that. Meanwhile at TRU they are priced at 3.49$ Which means over 50$ after taxes for the complete set.

Seriously this price is fairly reasonable for these things, it isn't like they're charging 5$ a pop or something. Give it a few more years or so and inflation could very well drive them up to that price range.
