Toys R Us GDO Voyagers and Leaders released at Canadian Retail

Thanks to board members Prime Sinister and The7thParallel, we now know that Transformers GDO wave voyagers and leaders have been released at Canadian retail. Found at a Toys R Us in Ontario.

The voyager assortment includes Megatron (http://www.tfw2005.com/resources/generations-decepticons-405/megatron-generation-2-6252/?catid=searchresults&searchid=527182), Hot Spot (http://www.tfw2005.com/resources/generations-autobots-404/protectobot-hot-spot-6251/?catid=searchresults&searchid=527182) and Powerdive (http://www.tfw2005.com/resources/generations-decepticons-405/powerdive-6253/?catid=searchresults&searchid=527182).

The leader assortment includes G1 inspired repaints of Ironhide (http://www.tfw2005.com/resources/tf3-dotm-autobots-453/ironhide-leader-generation-1-6226/) and Starscream (http://www.tfw2005.com/resources/tf3-dotm-decepticons-454/starscream-leader-generation-1-6227/) from the movie lines.

It's worth mentioning too that the TRU Canada preorders on the Voyagers are starting to ship now, too.

My GDO Megatron shipped today, Hot Spot is listed as "in stock" on my order info page, and someone else got a shipping notification for the Hot Spots they ordered just this afternoon.

Nice to see interesting stuff showing up, but I really wish TRU would concentrate on getting new mainline merchandise in instead of stocking their shelves with repainted or retooled "Exclusives". The whole GDO line and the frustrating MP search is fine, but I'd much rather them just stock Waves 3 - 5 of PRID.

Spoke with a TRU stock guy and he said he doesn't see any new PRID wave orders. Looks like we have to depend on Walmart for the next PRID waves.

There was one each of Megatron, Powerdive, and Hot Spot, I think on November 10th, or maybe the Saturday before that at TRU Hamilton...Cpl Chrissandwich tipped me off to them.

I picked up all three, and I haven't seen any others put out since.

It's not coming up in a search anymore, so it's probably "discontinued" (ie, none left in their warehouse anymore, they're not getting more shipments, so all that's left are the ones out in stores).

It's not coming up in a search anymore, so it's probably "discontinued" (ie, none left in their warehouse anymore, they're not getting more shipments, so all that's left are the ones out in stores).

Popular items pop up onto and back off of the TRU website, their online system really isn't designed for rapid high volume ordering of a single item. So just because it's gone from the website doesn't mean it's discontinued or that it won't be back up at some point (though might be brief).
