Transformers Prime Wave 2 Deluxes Released at Canadian Retail

Thanks to board member Echotransformer, we now know that Transformers Prime wave 2 deluxes have been released at Canadian retail. Found at a Walmart in Ontairo. Also thanks to TriBlurr for the photo and reporting that this wave has also reached a A&R Rossy store in Newfoundland. At this point, I would be less concerned with when and more concerned with if. Stores probably ordered wave 2 before they realized how badly wave 1 would pegwarm. If we're lucky, they also ordered wave 3. Waves 4 and 5 seem less likely to show up.

I know TRU's been plagued by the Hive of Bees and the Cliff Hangers; has Walmart suffered the same fate? Do they stand a reasonable chance at bringing in waves 3/4/5 after Xmas clears out their toy sections?

So glad I got these 3 for $10 each at TFCon, this delay was insane. Really want a Vehicon or two, hope it isn't another 7 months until wave 3!

Well if the past is any indicator we'll only ever see Wave 4 & 5 of Prime at Winners and Giant Tiger, maybe other discount chains similar to them. Especially with how pathetically bad the Wave One stuff was over-ordered and hung around.

I can not believe how frustrating it has been just staring at all these Bumblebee, Cliffjumper, Soundwave and Wheeljack figures the past seven months.

I'm a bit more concerned with Prime FE Wave 2, will TRU be stocking any of these with the issues of all the FE Bees clogging shelves still. I'd sorely like to get at least two FE Vehicons and perhaps Terrorcon Cliffjumper, provided the QC issues aren't a big deal even Bulkhead would be nice, but not if the arms are going to just fall off the toy straight out of package due to over-stressed joints.

This is good news though, now I've got something to shoot for in the next little while, a Ratchet and an Arcee, once I have them I'll be all caught up. Still need a boatload of GDO stuff though, not even sure how I'm going to score the GDO Voyagers at the moment. :(:crying:

Walmart stocks much lower quantity of these than TRU does, so there are not too many hanging there. BUT because Walmart NEVER has sales (whereas TRU has 25-50% off every few weeks), their quantities have not dropped in many months. If compared a photo of my local WM TF aisle with one from 6 months ago, it would be nearly identical. TRU may overstock items, but at least they move through a little quicker. Their problem is that they restock with the same stuff all the time.

not sure either, last December there were a large quantity of generations figs sitting at walmart for 10$ a piece. there were even some dark of the moon figures sold at the same amount a bit before

for those not familiar with Rossy stores, they are like the gold mine of lost toys. Rossy is where i find the last waves of anything that NEVER saw other store shelves, and even found the G.I.Joe combat heroes cancelled figures there a few years ago.

I just got ratchet and Arcee from the store in Bathurst, NB, and thats all they had.

It's kind of like a cross between bargain harolds, Kmart and the MET. over priced toys, but they get rare figures.

The one here still has those 2 packs that no one else ever got that everyone thought was cancelled. Bumbleebee repaints and a legends figure or something.

I rarely see more than Bees, Cliffs, Wheeljacks, Soundwaves, and Knockouts. The latest wave is total scalper-bait, with reships of peg-cloggers and one each of the new guys. They might as well wrap it in a bow and include a coupon for eBay seller fees.

i just noticed in that flyer that prid deluxes are onsale for 19.96 reg price 23.99 my local stores are all 16.99 for either a prid or foc deluxe and you can usually find most on clearance I just bought 2 prid wheeljacks for 4.50 ea

I don't mind paying 16.77 at walmart only 18.95 with tax here. Rossy on the other hand being 23.99 regular is like 27.11 with tax, no way I'd pay that much. even on sale its over 20 bucks so I'll still be waiting for wally world to get some ratchets.
