It seems like there are quite a few Transformers DVD exclusives out there. Here is another one to add to the list. Best Buy is selling an exclusive DVD set which will include:
-2 Disc widescreen Release
-32 Page book
-Figurine
Currently this is only on the Canadian Best Buy website, and is available for Pre-Order at BestBuy.ca (http://www.bestbuy.ca/catalog/proddetail.asp?logon=&langid=EN&sku_id=0926INGFSM2140331&catid=20412&test%5Fcookie=1#).

I don't think so. the 2 disc is just the special edition. so rather than having the animated, it will have a book and figure.

I wouldn't even bother with the Best Buy version. They never have enough of the exclusive item. I bought Casino Royale their to get the exclusive Aston Martin collectible. I was their at 11:30 am on release day and they were all gone but they had plenty of movies. That was the last straw for me at Best Buy... so many bad experiences. Wal-Mart had tonnes of their Casino Royale exclusive...

yeah, if you want it, you need to pre-order. same with the futureshop exclusive.

So far we haven't even seen anything on the Animated piece.. so for me I don't even know if it's true or not. The "ultimate Battle" from the classics 2 pack, if memory serves me right, was just a clip show from Armada, Energon and Cybertron. No new animation. This one could be a flash animation, or a slightly animated version of the prequel comic.... or if we all are lucky, which I really doubt it will be, maybe hasbro got the company from the new animated series to make a small prequel video... We can only wait and see.

Meh, I'm still sticking with the Future Shop version as I would rather have the nice packaging then a cheap figurine.
Depending on how they do the HD and regular versions I will probably pick up one at Future Shop and the other at Wal-Mart for the animated extra. But the Future Shop version for sure for me.

the Walmart is getting an Animated short prequel? My guess is it'll prolly be Slideshow video of the prequel comic book with voices reading the bubble :-/

Best Buy has a 35 pages booklet and figurine... this one so far interest me the most... still hoping the figurine wont be an ugly resine/plastic figurine that doesnt transform.
And there's an Australia store (EzyDVD) that gets a Transformable DVD box which I'd kill to get haha

You know what that means... and dont say you HAVENT seen this coming in a Loooooooooong way;
Prolly when TF2 hits theatre, there's going to release a "Director's-cut-Extended-Collector's-gold-platinum-edition-with-diamonds" that is going to contain additionnal footage, gag reel, extended scenes, 3D CGI test shots, Toyfare videos, behind the scene look at TF2 and soooooo much more...
I mean... nothing has been mentioned, and no I dont have this from any sources... but come on... don't lie to yourself saying that you are not seeing this comming....
ALL the big movies are doing this shit... they release a somewhat DVD with just a few extras that nobody really cares about... wait a few months and release a NEW version that has all the extras everyone wants... this way they sell the movie twice to every sucker that bought the first edition.
*sigh* I hate marketting these days...

Those figurines are around 25-30$... and the TF will be about 40... I doubt very much they'll let the "deluxe" movie run at 10$ lol
I'm going to guess it's a Robt Replica of either, Prime, megs or BB

well... they "COULD" like simply scotch tape the big figurine under the DVD box....Buuuuut yeah it will most likely be a small figurine.
Would suck tho if it was an actual Legend figurine... since they're already available to purchase in stores... it would need to be something "exclusive" to the DVD box.
My Guess is that it would be a "Robot Heroes" type of figurine, but about the movie, not the G1

well who knows what the figure could be. Best Buy had a same thing with the 300 DVD. It came with a small Spartan helmet replica.
edit: hmmm.. thinking about it.. I don't think it's limited edition.. is it?

I just picked mine up at BB. It comes in a little box with a random (out of 4) mini Tit figure. I got Optimus. It looks alot like the one you can buy loose in stores. I'll have to check when I get home.
They didn't have any other figures available for purchase and when I asked, the sales rep knew nothing about it. I'm assuming US only.

Just got back from Best Buy with a buddy of mine.
I got Titanium G1 Prime, he got Tit. G1 Galvatron. No word as to which other Titanium ass't are packaged in the giftset.
As for the 2-disk DVD, it's the same as the regular 2-disk Collector's Edition, with Prime's face on a white background. There is a clear plastic sleeve with "Transformers" written on it. Meg's face is on the back of the case.
The 32-page booklet has nice pictures of the movie, the movie set, CGI renders and concept sketched. Nothing that we haven't seen online before, but a nice collectible for sure. There are small blurbs written here and there, mostly taken from past Michael Bay interviews.
We then went to Future Shop. The metallic cases are beyond awesome and it's a shame that there are two seperate cases, one for each faction. Finally, the single-disk release has the best looking artwork, both on the carboard sleeve and on the inside cover. I'll definitely be picking up the single-disk later this week. Too awesome to pass up.

Thanks for the info. I really want the futureshop steel case, so that's probably what I'm going to get. If I knew for sure I could get a G1 soundwave I might have gotten the Best buy package, but I think the futureshop package is a better deal for me.

I took a T-Rex version of Grimlock, but they had a few options. That said, I also recieved the titanium optimus prime in the package. Grimlock alone would have been 10-15$ though, so what a nice surprise!
I don't know why they had these toys, but I like free stuff! Totally made the best buy deal worth it for me (kinda dissapointed by the book)

I too, went to Northland BB, but they only had the red car, starscream, and the mirage left. The guy in front of me took the last grimlock. That pretty much made the deal for me

I am unclear with this. You bought a Litho from Best Buy, yet walked into a Wal-Mart, recieved a free $10-15 T-rex Grimlock and an Optimus in package? So, Wal-mart gave you Grimlock for buying a DVD from Best buy?
Classic Mirage, Classic Jetfire, and Classic Grimlock, and the Classic "red sports car." When I went to Wally World around 3pm, there were no cases of toys, just at BB.

I knew they did this at some select BB locations in Vancouver, but had no idea it was happening in Calgary as well.
Free Classics with purchase of the DVD is probably the best store exclusive I've heard of thus far considering they retail for $15 and already sell for more than that on eBay. I can't believe they're giving away Voyager Skyfire as well. One would assume they'd limit it to just Deluxes.
