Good Day Folks!
I'm looking to get myself a Soundwave coz I don't have any in my collection so far.... So I was wondering which version is better? Tru Exclusive, Mp3 version etc..
So far I like the mp3 version but I'm not gonna use it for music so I dunno. I just want the better looking one! ;)
Thanks,
Dan

The TRU one looks the most like the G1 soundwave, but with a slightly larger chest to accommodating two tapes, instead of one.
The MP3 version looks completely different, and is a lot smaller. Also, you cant put soundwave's cassettes inside.
Other options are World's smallest soundwave and Titanium Soundwave.

Was there not just an SDCC or something version of him as well? i think it had the larger chest like the TRU exclusive, but had 4 tapes.

MP3 Soundwave is about deluxe size so he fits in perfectly with your classics/universe 2.0 cons.

Better looking one is Music Label....it's near functionally useless though so just keep that in mind.

Still disqualified for not looking the best...
I kid, I kid. Especially since he's one of the few animated figures I own. But I doubt he fits what the OP is looking for.

I might be nuts but I actully use the MP3 function on my Music Label soundwave...I have some mini speakers hooked up to him inside my display. He plays techno music at this time, but I should put the TF movie music on...that would be cool.

Personally, if your a "G1" purest (which I get the vibe from ya). Go with the recent San Diego Comiccon Soundwave with all the cassettes, you can't go wrong. Failing that, go wit the Takara Reissue BookBox Soundwave.
