need help with long haul/devastator.

I just got devastator, and I put in his missile mount waist piece into long haul to make devastator. Now I can't remove that waist missile mount piece. It is stuck there tight. Is it supposed to be that tight?

Also how do I remove it?

Edit. I removed it. But is it supposed to be that hard to remove? I had to yank it out. Not to mention that it is so hard to put it in in the first place.

Is this a knock off? vintage? reproduction?

From the sounds of it, I suspect that this is a very good condition Long Haul.

The little knobblies on the waist piece are what lock it into place on Long Haul. These will wear down through use. But excessive force shouldn't be necessary.

If you are worried about breaking the piece or Long Haul, you can take a nail file and just gradually file down the knobblies until the piece is much easier to connect to Long Haul.

edit: If you don't want to modify the piece in this way, then don't do it.

By the way, I'm assuming you mean G1 or G2 Devastator.

After many giant tugs, it seems to be much better, but the piece is still wedged in there tight.

That takes me back 20+ years ago, when mine was actually that tight.

Indeed, it will free up with use/age.
