Anyone else having problems transforming the deluxe bumblebee from robot to car mode?

His front end won't click in like it should, and the "button" you press does nothing.
Stupid automorph, exactly what i thought when i heard about it, which is, more to go wrong.

So is mine broken, or am i doing something wrong?

Try squeezing the whole front end as you push the front end in........My 6 year old is having fun learning the new tricks. It is hard for him the put the feet away though. Not as easy as cybertron figures. Having trouble keeping the whole thing together. I hope the new 2008 camero bumblebee figure transforms better.

So i think i figured it out, the first time i transformed him, i didn't hit that little button, because i never look at the instructions.

So i returned him, and made sure i pressed that little button on the new one, and he seems to be working.

Looks to me like Hasbro's gonna be seeing a lot of returns.
Hopefully they'll learn from this, and not just blame the consumers.

I have the same problem. I just apply a little more pressure and kinda over extent the hood back a little further and it all goes into place well.

i'm guessing that when i get the movie figures, i'll really study the instructions before transforming. i'd rather not break any of the automorph features just because i want to do them manually.

not the entire figure, but various details move into place as you transform the figure, or at the press of a button. i think most are spring and lever action, though some of the larger ones may have motorized automorph features.

My BB is fine except for the un painted face mask but they all seem to be like that. I did fix that problem in 10 minutes and added some more silver to the head (Pics soon to come). I do have issues with Jazz however, I live in Mississauga and drove al the way out to Brampton to get the first wave of deluxes first I noticed the hands were backwards and looked awkward so I tried to pull out the pegs and place them properly but while I was doing so the lower leg spilt in two and to my suprise were never properly screwed in. I would have gladly screwed them in if not for the screws being behind the wheel and was unable to fix it. So I said screw it drove BACK to Brampton and got exchanged it hopeing for the hands to be in the proper position but low and behold still the wrong way.

SO these have electronics in them then?..

Nope all done by gears and various mechanisms

ultimate bumblebee might have automorph features that depend on batteries, but no official word on that yet.

so far, the majority of automorph features are spring released actions.

so nothing like prime's trailer from armada.

SO these have electronics in them then?..

I really like my Bumblebee, I must say. His automorphing is quite satisfying.

To me, the Ultimate looks inferior in transformation to the Deluxe '08 Bumblebee, but superior in detail like the face.
