View Full Version : Transformers to Return to Teletoon Retro this Fall

According to Teletoon Retro's website (http://corp.teletoon.com/en/?p=1532), Transformers: More Then Meets The Eye (G1) will be returning to their broadcast line up this fall Saturdays at 7am and 6pm.

"A battle rages between Autobots and Decepticons in this beloved 1984 animated series based on the Hasbro line of toys. The Transformers are alien robots from the planet Cybertron that hide in plain sight on Earth by morphing into everyday machines. The evil Decepticons, led by Megatron, seek to drain the Earth of all its resources, but Optimus Prime and his Autobots are determined to protect the Earth and its people at all costs."

Oh good, I figured it would be crazy for them to buy the rights for just a weekend...

Though they DID do that with The Real Ghostbusters...

Teletoon Retro is the best! Looney Tunes, Transformers, GI Joe... doesn't get any better than this! :D

I enjoyed watching the 24 hour G1 marathon and will definitely catch them on the regular schedule :)

That'll be the little extra something I was looking for to go with my Saturday morning breakfast.

Cartoons and sugar. Just like the good ol' days. :D

Is this only for Toon Retro in English?

Hopefully it will. The French dub for season 2 and up is just horrible. First time I heard the Stunticons referred to as "Cascadicans" it just about fried a whole brain hemisphere. I still have nightmares about this... (Heh.)

Look like I will have to switch one of my current channels for English Toon...

It's supposed to be ongoing, like (apparently) a number of other classic toons of which I have no idea what they are unfortunately.
