Hey guys,
I've been wanting to get some robot replicas because of the amount of detail they have, but I read many mixed reviews about them..

What do you guys think about these figures?
pictures if you have please :]

No pictures but I buy them because I won't be buying too many ROTF figures and the RRs are cheap and decent representations of their on screen characters.

Not all of them are that great though. OP and Megs are about the best so far from ROTF. I'm looking forward to the Fallen release though.

To me no. I did bought a RR Frenzy from the first movie but that's because there isn't a decent mold for him except for the FAB version.

They do have pretty good articulations, though, because of the Revoltech joints - BTW, did Hasbro still use those joints on the RoTF ones?

^ As far as I know they don't but I could be wrong.

To answer the topic, I'm not sure. It depends on if you like the sculpts. I think Jetfire looks great and I really want to see one in person and I'm very likely to pick him up too (really loved him in the movie).

They never really had Revoltech joints...ball joints mostly with some basic hinging in other places. The first movie figures had *some* revoltech like joints I guess but that didn't really save the articulation on figures like Megs (who is horrible imo). They're ok for articulation but not overly amazing.

I really just like them because of the size and decent detail. I'd say if you like collecting figures then you'll like them but if you only like things that transform you'll be unloading them after no time.

Its kinda funny..
After writing this I went out to see my gf, and as a surprise gift for me she got me RR starscream and ironhide..guess she saw me taking a look at them for awhile.

anyways they have quite abit of ball joints. Head, shoulders, elbow(in ironhide), waist, and ankle. rest are hinge joints.

I am really liking these figures, the amount of details they have, and the poseability is awesome.

I want to pick up OP, and megatron as well but so far havent seen them anywhere.. looking forward to the fallen figure as well.

Thanks for your inputs guys

My issue with these guys is that often the deluxe version of the toy is as posable, if not more posable than the Robot Replica version.

I mean I can pose Voyager Ironhide way better than his Replica counterpart, and Voyager Ironhide actually transforms too.

The other one that I(my kid) has is the Skids Robot Replica. This is more atriculate than deluxe Skids, but still isn't that great. I do think he works way better than the deluxe as an actual toy though.

My daughter just uses his deluxe car mode and then pretends he transforms by grabbing the Robot Replica version:p

I'll get he Robot Replica of Mudflap as well for the same reason.:)

All I can say is that I find A LOT of these in value village and after picking them up I'm glad I only spent $2 on them!

They ain't BAD. Some are nicer then others but the price tag is a bit much......

I like some of the molds...SS, Ironhide & Ratchet. Im looking fwd to sideswipe.
But the Optimus mold really sucks.

I bought SS & Ironhide but returned them shortly after. I just couldn't justify paying full price for them. I will get them if they go on sale on day.

I am not a fan of Transformers toys that don't transform. But as representations of the Movie they are nice. Eventually they will be at bargain prices!

Personally I don't collect them, because I think Transformers are supposed to tranform. They aren't that bad for figures through. The only one I ever got was Frenzy for the 2007 movie.
