Hey Guys,

I'm trying to ID two Transforming toy lines from when I was a kid.

Both of these lines were actual toy lines, cheaply made but not knock offs.

1) A line of "Transformers" that turned into things like Pinball machines, Cash Registers, Slot Machines etc. All I pretty much remember is the Pinball machine being blue and finding the remnants of the toy after my Dad ran over it with the lawn mower :p

2) The second was a line of very Kiddy-ish Robots that Transformed into letters. The robots themselves were very basic with beady little eyes, no other features that I can remember. I'm pretty sure I had A and N. I could never find I.

If anyone remembers these it would be great!

Cheers!

Aha! Those are both it.

I know those "Gamble-bots" have a name though. I'm sure someone here will know it.

Doubledooz eh? Those are EXACTLY what I was thinking of. I didn't realize that Mattel made them.

Gotta try and track some of those down LOL.

Cheers!

Gives new meaning to the song ABCDEFGHIJKLMQRSTUVWXYZ on Sesame Street doesn't it? ;) Cute little suckers.

I wonder, does anybody remember what the little Hot Wheels cars were called from a few years ago? I'm talking the ones small enough to fit on the tracks that were like two inches tall and in order to make them cars you had to attach the mini-bots to wheeled bases and attach all the car parts to them?

Sorry about asking here, but I didn't think it'd be a problem.

Of course the concept of Transforming objects and mecha wasn't new when Transformers came out, but I think Hasbro was the first company to give the robots themselves personalities and individual identities, right?

I had all those Spies via Bargain Harolds 75 cents bin. I never heard of the Alphabots till today.

I have to say that Rex was one of my favourite non-Transformer Transformers. That toy right there was awesome. I had Rex, Feathers, and Robat, but I could never remember their names. And sadly, Rex was the only one that survived up until a few years ago, when several parts of him crumbled to pieces.

Lets see what else, I had that Nofka Maladroid, never knew the name of that, and sadly lost his arms within the first few minutes of when I had him. But then again I may have had the knock off of that knock off.
