View Full Version : Defect on MP Magnus reissue

I know something is wrong with the reissue, but I can't remember what it was... so what is it? I don't know if I should bother trying to find a first run Magnus or just get the reissue if the issue is a minor one. I didn't want it back then, but now that there's a trailer coming for it...

Really? I remember seeing a City-commander trailer/armor kit a while back (saw 3-4 months ago--very G1 looking but posable) but haven't heard anything since....is there new information or images?

Here's one link I'm aware of...I own the transforming MP01 trailer from these guys, and the quality was pretty good! Hopefully they make it to market...

I believe the issue with the first run was paint chipping on the metal parts... or it was not fully cured? but the chipping was for sure.

I can't tell if it's cancelled or not (It looks like it is to me, with the broken engrish in the message), when you have people replying to a preorder thread demanding their refund back, that's I draw the line.

I wouldn't trust these guys.

Well, I got my refund and based on the thread you provided a link to, it looks like other people have gotten refunds as well.

Preorder went bad, and everybody got their money back, so...what exactly is your point?

I'd be glad you didn't end up wasting your money on this product given that the head is absolutely horrid.

Other than the head sculpt, I'd say that was a very well done MP Magnus Trailer set. Had it been produced, I would have considered getting it. Sure, it isn't as cutting edge as the City Commander set, but then again the MP Megatron stock and silencer set aren't exactly cutting edge either.

And yes, that particular head sculpt does look like it came from one of those shampoo bottle "action figures" that were around so much in the 80s.

Even without the head it's still super friggin blocky. Looks like it's made with lego. With all the space the MPs provide, they could do better articulation-wise.

I think G1-esque blocky was what they were aiming for.

As for your lego comment, I think I may attempt to make one out of lego now.
