All deluxe figures (other then ROTF) are being sold for half price ($7.49), Animated deluxe battle packs are now $29.99, and legends, scout, and fast action battler figures are 20% off. In addition Transformers Revenge of the Fallen Superion (http://www.tfw2005.com/resources/rotf-autobots-383/superion-2051/?catid=searchresults&searchid=100870) and Bruticus (http://www.tfw2005.com/resources/rotf-decepticons-384/bruticus-maximus-2042/) figures will also be on sale for $39.99.

I don't think the animated deluxe battle packs are a deal at all. If you think about it, single deluxe figures are normally around $15.00 each. So, $29.99 for two deluxe figures are basically regular price. I think Zeller's just priced them high initiallly to create an illusion of a sale now - typical marketing ploy. But the half price stuff sounds good.

I went into Zellers today and spoke with my family member who works there.

Animated Voyager Class and Leader Class will not be on sale at all and same goes for Universe/Classics as they will not be on sale either.

She was unaware of the whole Movie 1 vs ROTF thing thou as her paper work stated Animated & Movie Deluxe Figures @ 50% off.

In regards to the Superion/Bruticus packs. They only had the Superion sets and since she was the one who setup the display, she said their was no Bruticus sets what so ever (even in the back).

Regardless... I grabbed some Animated Deluxe Figures (Bumblebee, Prowl, Blurr and Swindle) since they were 50% off and then I get an extra 20% with her employee discount.

Cant beat $6.92 a figure :cool:

One of my local Zellers has some of the sale tags up already (just turned around so you can't see the sale price which is stupid) and they did not have any against the ROTF deluxes. They did have a sale for the ROTF FAB though and ROTF scouts. I wonder what the ad will say. Maybe we can trick the local Wal-Marts into price matching if the ad isn't clear enough. Here's hoping.

I have been calling around in burlington. they are not allowed to even open any more transformer boxes until the 21st. managers rule. i guess burlington zellers respect "street dates" ....not customers wallets though.

In the online flyer it only has 40% off for ROTF Fast Action Battlers, not Deluxes. The Deluxes are vaguely labelled "Animated and Movie" at half price. The only Movie fig listed is '70s Bumblebee, who is only in Movie 1.

I still can't tell whether ROTF Deluxes are going to ring up at half price or not. I guess we confirm when they scan tomorrow...

I wonder if its going to vary Zellers to Zellers? And I'd bet we're going to hear how some people got Wally or TRU to pricematch ROTF against that flyer and some folks couldn't get the pricematch.

Aha! The sale is different in Quebec than it is in Ontario (and at least Alberta and BC from my checks). I put in a Montreal postal code and the flyer page that comes up is different:

We don't have a big pic of BB and the 40% off ROTF deluxes, we have different pics in that space in our flyer (the TFA 2-packs and ROTF Superion). So I don't think the rest of Canada gets a sale on ROTF Deluxes...

The rest of the page are the same items/prices.

For those of us outside Quebec, I don't think ROTF Deluxes are on for half off, given that the Quebec flyer has ROTF deluxes reg 15.99, on sale for $9.99 AND it has (right beside) "Animated and Movie Deluxes" for Half Price (14.99 down to 7.49).

Since in Ontario, etc ROTF Deluxes are not reg $14.99, they can't be $7.49 at "half off".

I think that outside Quebec, ROTF Deluxes are going to be full price.

I think you can make a case that it should apply to ROTF ones, since that's the logo on the page. At least you can make the case when trying to price match. Wonder if that "Exclusive to Zellers" logo near the deluxes will hurt people trying to argue for a price match...

For anyone in the Kitchener/Waterloo area... the Zellers at Conestoga Mall has the best or biggest display when it comes to the Deluxe Animated Figures as the only ones missing were Prowl, Soundwave and Elite Guard Bumble Bee but they had tones of everything else.

Zellers on Bridgeport Rd only had Blazing Lockdown, Blurr, Swindle, Oil Slick and 1 Elite Guard Bumble Bee.

Zellers on River/Ottawa had Sential Prime, Blurr, Swindle, Blackarachnia, Samurai Prowl, Bumble Bee, Oil Slick, Lockdown etc...

Zellers at Ottawa/Strasburg had Bumble Bee, Oil Slick, Blazing Lockdown, Blurr, Swindle and Waspinator.

If anyone spots a Wave 1 Prowl at any Walmarts then please let me know as I could not find one at any of the Zellers in KW.

If anyone is wondering it's REALLY easy to get the cashiers to adjust the movie figures to 7.49. It states in the flyer that all movie figures are 7.49 and there's a huge sign that has 7.49 directly over the new movie figures in my local Zellers. They didn't have any of the first movie figures in stock (Which I'm guessing in the case in most stores). I didn't even have to argue with them.

The superion set is actually listed as movie 2 on the flier, and TRA MV2 Combiner as list on your receipt. Some clerks actually argued with me if for movie 2 figures which will say something like that.

Okay collectors stop hogging all the animated figures! :) Went to two Zellers today and only picked up one at each store. As it is my daughter is getting Lockdown, Blackarachnia, Blurr and Swindle Deluxe Class. The Roll out command OP (got it for $10 at SQ 1 Walmart months ago) and picked up the Leader Class Megatron at Winners yesterday along with some G1 Robot Heroes. So yeah, she's getting a good lot since she only has Bumblebee right now. Was just hoping to pick up some more for Christmas. Will have to watch for more sales.

My daughter is having a class pizza party today where they are also celebrating the summer birthdays. So my little one who will be turning 5 in July told me she needs a birthday present today since her birthday is being celebrated. Sneaky little thing. I had her with me when I bought Megatron. :)

Does the exchanging thing work here too? Buy from Zellers and exchange them with TRU? I've only seen Oilslicks or nothing at the Zellers I've been to.:(

Okay collectors stop hogging all the animated figures! :) Went to two Zellers today and only picked up one at each store. As it is my daughter is getting Lockdown, Blackarachnia, Blurr and Swindle Deluxe Class. The Roll out command OP (got it for $10 at SQ 1 Walmart months ago) and picked up the Leader Class Megatron at Winners yesterday along with some G1 Robot Heroes. So yeah, she's getting a good lot since she only has Bumblebee right now. Was just hoping to pick up some more for Christmas. Will have to watch for more sales.

My daughter is having a class pizza party today where they are also celebrating the summer birthdays. So my little one who will be turning 5 in July told me she needs a birthday present today since her birthday is being celebrated. Sneaky little thing. I had her with me when I bought Megatron. :)

I went to all 4 Zellers in Kitchener/Waterloo and only 1 of them had a large selection but it was many of the same figure. Prime, Jazz, Oil Slick, Lockdown, but their were the odd Sentinel, Blurr, Swindle etc... etc... while 1 store had very little and a poor selection at that.

I ended up buying 3 Figures from one store, 1 at another and then 1 at the last I visted. Then thanks to a tip from a user here I went back to the store with the large selection and found the last figure I was looking for in a totally different aisle at the very back. I was there the first time at approx 11:30am and the main shelf was STOCKED! I was then back at 2:30pm and it was obvious alot was gone.

So with the sale, I've wondered how many parents have simply grabbed their kids one because its 50% off vs how many were collectors.

I was being funny about the "collectors" bit! :) My husband has been sick and I don't drive so I've taken the bus once to hunt down some Animated. And had my husband take me the second time now that he's feeling a bit better. I just never had a chance to go early in the morning on the weekend which I believe would've been the best time to grab them.

Thats awesome. They do find ways to rationalize getting new toys don't they.:D
