ROTF Toy Sale Poll

With the movie coming to theatres next month when do you think the first ROTF toy sale will be?

and just to clarify the definition of sale I mean a discounted price.

I'm thinking before, so to hype the movie. At any rate, I'm hanging on to the receipt and getting the sale price on the leader prime I'll be getting. :-)

No kidding, I dont even remember the first movie toys ever going on sale.

There was a sale for $10 deluxes at Superstore for the first movie, that's when I picked up Wreckage a week or two before the movie and made me want more. :D

I'm not sure what they'll do with these though, I feel like they'll put a sale right before the movie hits.

Why not? It helps promote the movie and gets people excited about the movie. TRU would most likely do this if it was to happen, since I find they amp up movies like this with bigger displays and if the small leaking of ROTF toys is any indicator, there looks to be a whack load of toys coming too.

It's a possibility anyway and it might only be something select if anything was to be put on sale.

My vote goes for one that's not up there. The same week as the figures are officially released.

Like they were when the last movie came out. I remember getting the first wave for $8 a pop from TRU

I got my leader prime on sale just before or right after the movie was released. As I recall I got the majority of my TFTM figures on sale and I picked most of them up early on.

I have made a decision to wait until there is a sale before I throw my money down on buying all the figures. If the last movie has taught me anything, it is that there will be MANY opportunities to pick these guys up for cheaper.

That being said, I really want to pick up Ransack and Sideswipe.

I remember 1 or 2 sales before the first movie came out. Both happened in the first 2 weeks of June cause I bought a tonne of stuff around my birthday and remember taking it all back to get it adjusted.

Leaders I think didn't go on sale until the movie dropped.

I saw some Star Trek movie phasers at London Drugs for like 8 dollars in a little clearance bin.

I picked up a couple ROTF toys right away. I will wait for a sale for the leader class, maybe even wait till the premiums start to show up on sale.

Well I was at a local walmart today and they had the ROTF display out early and as I picked over the wreakage that were the left over deluxe bots that weren't scooped up, I noticed the sign above the display that said $9.98
