Transformers Deluxe Figures on Sale at Toys R' Us Canada

Thanks to StarwarsTF for letting us know that Transformers Animated deluxe figures will be going on sale for $9.97 (normally $14.99) from March 13th-19th at Toys "R" Us (http://www.toysrus.ca/shop/index.jsp?categoryId=2844857&cp=2844857&clickid=leftnav_brand_txt&camp=BRANDBAR_TRANSFORMERS).

$.98 seems to be clearance if you look at TRU.ca...

It says anything ending in "1" or "6" on the receipt you can't return or exchange, which I would assume is clearance. Unless "7" is something completely different.

You can get a couple of misc TFA Deluxes during the sales and use them to exchange for newer TFA Deluxe stock later on :p :D (they are all under the same TRU's SKU #)

You are my GOD! I never thought of that, exactly how do you do that and what do you say?

Step 1: Buy them on sale.
Step 2: When you find one you actually want in a month, and it's not on sale, buy it at full price.
Step 3: Using receipt from step 2, and figure from step 1, walk up to customer service and say you'd like to return it "Your nephew already has one" or whatever. Return goods in exchange for cash.
Step 4: Dance on your way out of the store.

Note: Make sure to pay attention to their refund/exchange policy. Apparently 90 days is the limit with receipt based on what I've read here.

Works for Zellers too since they have the same SKU for all deluxes as well.

And TRU's refund/exchange time is 45 days according to the receipt.

Theoretically it could also work between stores....but then we start to get into a more morally grey zone.

For exchange TRU staffs @ customer service may not even check your receipt. They will just confirm the items in exchange have the same SKU and you are good to go. So, unless the given items have been discontinued you may be able to exchange it beyond the time limit :cool: YMMV, of course :)

BTW, this trick definite doesn't work @ Walmart since they use the product barcodes in their system and all TFs have unique barcodes from Hasbro.
