My fear is AmiAmi puts the value on the package, that seems like I am asking for trouble with EMS. I might just toss it as SAL and let it slowly trickle in under the radar... honestly I have quite a few items on route right now, will take some heat of me from the wife if it shows up in a month.

I've used EMS for some high price items (higher than MP-36) with full declared value on it. Sometimes I get hit and sometimes I don't. All depends on who processes the item.
Same with SAL.
So just depends on if you want to pay more to get it sooner or pay less and wait longer. With SAL to Vancouver it's usually two weeks. Maybe three. (unless it's Christmas time grr)

Duty and taxes are random no matter if you use Post Service - whether it's express post like EMS or no tracking slow service. Of all my years ordering toys from Japan, I've only got dinged maybe 3 times (MP-13 and recently MP-33)
I am prepare to pay duty though. This is Canada after all. If I have to tax on a $1.50 hot dog and pop combo at Costco, then I am ok to pay my tax on MP-36. Our government needs to money to spend on useless projects, right?

Picture of gun mode is sort of blended in with Megatron in Bot mode it's actually kind of camouflaged there. Also there's nothing a custom officer can't see in the X-ray scanner. The shipping label always says it's a plastic model or scale model and one can see an action figure in the box. If anything, Takara packing Laserwave in space gun mode looks more suspicious under x-ray scan.

AmiAmi - 21674 JPY shipped EMS or $258.25 CAD. about the same as MP10 from BBTS (before i knew better) they are going up
