Generations Jetfire Mask Storage
Hi guys!
Recently I bought the Generations Jetfire and was totally blown away by this figure! What an AWESOME figure. But I had a couple gripes about it. Mostly the missing paint apps on the guns and the few little details on the body. I however did get out my paints and fixed these.
Also I decided to go with a more G1-esque look and display him without the battle mask. I noticed in the instruction sheet it shows the mask stored on the gun. I didn't like the look of that so after playing around for awhile I found a spot in his back pack to store it. No mods and no mistransformations! Take a look.

Re: Generations Jetfire Mask Storage
going by the chrome apps it looks like we will have the same flaking problem that plagued us with beast wars pieces.

Re: Generations Jetfire Mask Storage
Cool, I love the figure. Taking that mask off was the first thing I did. He's standing on the shelf next my G1 version.
I did notice some chrome flaking around the peg holes right out of the box unfortunately Hopefully won't get any worse.

Re: Generations Jetfire Mask Storage
What kind of paint did you use on the weapons?
I was toying with the idea of removing the chrome, but having him in hand it's kinda grown on me. But I really do like the way they look on the packaging art with the black barrels.

Re: Generations Jetfire Mask Storage
The paint I used was Testors Model Masters black, but some have used gun metal. I was surprised that the paint was sticking to the chrome and did not need any priming. as far as flaking, I did notice round the peg holes was a little chipping, But I'm not really going to play that hard with it. I wonder if you were to seal it with a couple coats of Future floor polish if that would take care of that issue?

Re: Generations Jetfire Mask Storage
I really don't like the chrome on him. I have the Takara version on order so he'll be the one I display...I may mod the Hasbro one into a sky Stryker.

Re: Generations Jetfire Mask Storage
Awesome! I thought the mask looked pretty dumb stored on the gun, so this helps a bunch.

Re: Generations Jetfire Mask Storage
The mask kind of reminds me of the Silverhawks.
