A theory about the War for Cybertron Prime Toy
So we have all seen the pics of the new prime toy. We are all wondering what it is exactly. A new toy line, part of the universe line, or something else. I have a theory to submit.
I was wondering is they may be making this toy to include it with a War for Cybertron game, special edition. Often companies put figures in with the special editions, I was thinking they may have made this toy for a possible special edition.
What do you guys think?

I hope not, I don't feel like buying a game to get a toy, I'm no gamer.

Re: A theory about the War for Cybertron Prime Toy
Special edition only? That'd be a terrible idea really. There's so much potential for them to make a toy line for this.
I'm sure people would definitely appreciate a modern version/interpretation of Omega Supreme, although most huge TFs end up on clearance at lower prices domestically.
I just want a black repaint though. (Epic battle between Megatron + Nemesis Prime Vs. Optimus Prime?)

Re: A theory about the War for Cybertron Prime Toy
I highly doubt that WfC Optimus toy is a game exclusive considering how many people would buy an Optimus toy alone. Not everyone has these systems and they would lose money on the mold.
Don't mean to shoot down the theory but I don't see it happening at all. Perhaps there will be a toy or incentive something or other exclusive but who knows.

I doubt it will be an exclusive.
If the figure is an exclusive with the game, then I can see it being a special "shiny" edition. With metallic paints instead of flat reds and blues. But yeah, doubt that will happen either.

It's possible, they have talked about this over at TFW. Most assume that this guy is between legends and scout class, which would make it pack-in sized.

Re: A theory about the War for Cybertron Prime Toy
That would suck... One toy from all those awesome renderings and all we get is an Armada Reboot

Talking about something on TFW doesn't make it possible. Also it's to complex to be legends and I doubt Hasbro would make a scout Optimus when they get the most bang for their buck with the deluxe line. I'm sure that's what he is

Re: A theory about the War for Cybertron Prime Toy
The pictures we've seen of the WfC Optimus toys (there are at least two, as the original grey test shot and the more recent coloured version are significantly different from each other and cannot have come from the same mould) show them to be full-fledged transforming figures, most likely in the scout-voyager size-range. By contrast, pretty much all of the pack-in figures we've seen in other games have been small, minimally-articulated plastic statues. I seriously doubt that these figures will be pack-in exclusives.

Re: A theory about the War for Cybertron Prime Toy
The next-year pseudo preview says there's a Deluxe and Voyager Optimus [which I think are the WfC ones?]. I mean, that list probably isn't comprehensive, but still.
