Takara-Tomy Transformers Adventure Bombshell and Shrapnel

Didn't see anything about this posted yet so I thought I'd dive in.

At any rate I skipped Hasbros Skrapnel only to later think of grabbing him when Bombshell came out. But then I was disappointed that the Purples and Yellows/Gold didn't match and so I gave both a skip. Now it seems that Takara-Tomy are releasing both with what appear to be matching colours and so they have are offering exactly what I wanted and I can only assume manny others wanted.

Except for this RID2015esque scan code thing on their chests which I can only hope is a sticker so I can just put some regular white backed Decepticon badges on.

I just wonder if others have looked at the pictures and would care to chime in on if the colours do match and/or could anybody tell whether that unsightly thing on their chests is a sticker as is the case with the RID2015 toys.

I've preordered them, and I agree they seem to have made the colors more uniform.

As for the RID/Adventure scan logo, they should be stickers. I've ordered several Adventure figures and they have always been stickers, never tampo'd on. They comefoff pretty easily as well. Should just be able to replace them with reprolabels.

Of course they remolded to create an indentation where that stupid scan symbol goes. Still overall even with that I'd say they are worth the premium for the fact that they match.

I will stick with my hasbro version, that circle on the chest is a huge deal breaker for me. Looks way to ugly

Re: Takara-Tomy Transformers Adventure Bombshell and Shrapnel

With logos like that, they're not Decepticons in Disguise

I picked up the Hasbro Bros, and to be honest, even with the matching paint schemes, you can tell they weren't meant to be hanging out together. Throw in FOC Kickback and the Ugly Threesome is ready for ebay

I'm keeping mine, though..for the time being. The weakest of the bunch is Shrapnel by far, mainly for his alt mode. Both are quite poseable, though. Bombshell is actually really fun, and the only one of the three I see keeping for the long haul. FOC Kickback...I don't know, I guess I must have got swept up in the chase back when I got him. He just looks very...different, in a way that I'm not used to. His alt mode is also really...meh. There's a reason I wasn't a fan of the FOC look, I guess.

If the original three Insecticons get a proper makeover in the future, I will definitely be in on it. MP release?...I pray to the MP GODS TO MAKE IT SO!

Dear Primus, that RID-style logo is incredibly garish. Definite pass for both. I like Hasbro's toy-style take on Bombshell much more than the toon-inspired grey (one of the very few times I prefer toy over toon accuracy, I might add). But that poor excuse for Skrapnel.... a polished turd is still a turd.
