Re: BC Community Thread For Non-Sightings Chat

TRU better get more MP Soundwave stock before the end of August or else.

I am so disappointed right now that I haven't been able to get one when I made so many visits to TRU stores and I am sure I am not alone in this.

Nope, I'm pretty disappointed, too. I had hoped they had learnt their lesson with MP-10. I haven't wanted anything in the past, say, 5 years more than I want this figure. :/

Re: BC Community Thread For Non-Sightings Chat

No such luck finding SW on my days off. Not even worth it to go to TRU at opening. For example, I was at Coquitlam TRU at opening on Tuesday, the CS lady (super nice BTW) said they had two in transit and nothing on hand. Later on that evening reports on our sightings board says 4 or 6 SW's were on hand and sold out just like that at Coquitlam TRU. Being the early bird does not pay off this time around.

Re: BC Community Thread For Non-Sightings Chat

I consider myself super lucky in finding SW.

I was vacationing in the Shuswap just before the recent long weekend, badgering Kamloops TrU by phone 3 times a day for 3 days (FYI, Blind Bay has the shittiest cell phone reception). During my last call the CSR handed the phone to the store manager who must have heard how OCD I was so she offered to call me if any of 4 "In Transit" SW's showed up. So I left my cell number thinking she wouldn't really call anyways

The infamous on-line preorder happened the next day and thanks to my 1 year old waking me up at 545am I was able to get through. So with a preorder inhand I was content.

Fast forward to last Sunday where I get a call from the same store manager in Kamloops saying she has personally put aside the last MP SW for me! Lucky for me I have a good friend that lives 10 minutes away from the Tru who was willing to pick it up for me. He'll be brining SW to me next week when he visits family. I actually emailed TrU with a positive comment about the store manager as I believe she went out of her way to so this.

So if my preorder gets filled that SW will be going to a local boardie that answered my offer.

Good luck you guys!

Damn, I just saw the new Botshot reveals and Soundwave is really tempting. I need to tell myself I'm out of collecting them though. I haven't even been able to afford to keep up with Kreons lately.

Re: BC Community Thread For Non-Sightings Chat

Working full time office hours means I only have time to hunt after work and on weekend. I lucked out on being able to get MP-10 on that one Thanksgiving long weekend last year. But I guess a lot of us have completely lost faith in TRU and ordered Takara MP-13 instead in order to save ourselves from the consuming nerd rage. I can only hope that the lack of store stock means TRU is reserving for our online preorders.

BTW, where is MP Acidstorm?

^Looks like he and Takara MP-11s are camped out in front of the Lunar TrU in hopes of snagging an MP-02 too.

Re: BC Community Thread For Non-Sightings Chat

Just watch. We'll complain, Hasbro will listen, but months from now, and meanwhile everyone who is fed up will have already bought their Takara versions, so when Hasbro finally gets their ass in gear and puts these on the shelf they'll sit there and warm the shelves because everyone already got their Takaras. If they would make sure these are adequately stocked in the first place, this wouldn't happen.
