Hopes you are right. Because I've been to most BC TRU and they all had sound wave couple months ago and were all gone within hours. And of cos they won't have a clue if they are going to re-stock ornot.

The frustrating part for me is that there are other orders I want to place like Amazon.com Predaking but with these preorders don't want everything going on the ol credit card at once ... if they ship soon I have to wait .. if they ship like next month I can buy ... crazy game!! Curious to see if Metroplex ships next week as ship date was sept 14th ...

How NOT to do pre-orders:

1) List PO items with no definite (or estimated) release date.*

2) Release the PO item to retail before any POs have even been filled.

3) Giving all those who PO'd "the shaft" by doing step 2 above.

Yup, I'd say TRU definitely screwed this one up.

According to the TRU phone support agent X--GETDATE--X means it's on back order. I said it's the dumbest pre-order I've ever done.

I told her that other stuff I've pre-ordered from other sites have always been accompanied with a release date. If the item gets delayed, I get notice to the affect. When it is released, I get it first, not after it hits a shelf.

I also told her that I would be very unhappy if more where shipped to a store and I didn't have one in my possession. I said what is the point of a pre-order if it ships six months later and I can go pick it off of a shelf before that? I also said that I would be very unlikely to pre-order through TRU again if that is the case.

I could really tell that she didn't give a shit.

That was brilliant.

Also, if GET DATE means "backordered", why did one of the TRUs here in Winnipeg just get 7 Metroplexes in today? Why did their preorder page have a release date of the 14th, to only then put GET DATE when you actually order it? It's either a deceptive practice, or they have no clue what's happening on their web site or what stock levels are.

There's no right thing to do with stuff like this, that's the sad part.

I saw how many pre-orders weren't filled for MP-10, so I decided to try my luck in stores. Despite living very close to a TRU, I never even got near to MP Soundwave.

Now I'm reading here even if I had pre-ordered, I still might not have one at any point.

Lose-lose situation.

I think I may order a Takara version when finances are better for me. I like the red eyes more anyway.
