transformers GI joe crossover

Quote:
Description:

Pictured above is a hand-painted mockup of a proposed cross-over with the Transformers: Generation 2 toyline. This10" tall fully transformable figure would have been used to coincide with the 1993 Marvel Comics Transformers: Generation 2 cross-over and was made of resin with cardboard seats.

The toy itself can transform into a six-wheeled APC. It can fire foam missiles and carry three G.I.Joe figures. It was designed by Takara and presented to Hasbro.
An exclusive G.I. Joe figure was also planned to be included.

Re: collection pictures of unreleased figures

Normally I never rely on wiki as my source but...

http://transformers.wikia.com/wiki/C...d_toys/Gallery

most of these were 2007... are there proven facts that hasbro cancelled all these just to release bayformers? I'm just wondering.

that looks like ravage. the ravage i keep seeing on the pegs have collected so much dust. i want the one pictured on the photo...

also more importantly, was there ever an unreleased transformer that was later on released anyway but as another line? hoping titanium shockwave and arcee into RTS. if not maybe they should.

Re: collection pictures of unreleased figures

What, didn't anyone go to my panel this year?

There's actually a bunch of figures that have come back from the grave of cancellation. Some have seen releases through the TFCC, such as the Universe Seacons and Universe Drench / Shattered Glass Sideswipe. Others have just come out as parts of other lines, as in the case of Air Attack Optimus Primal in RiD, and some got retooled and used in completely different settings, especially in the Japanese exclusive lines like Beast Wars II and Beast Wars Neo. In these two series, the Gen 2 Megatron Starscream ATB set was released nearly unchanged as Starscream & BB, and the wave of unreleased Auto Rollers showed up with new colors from their original planned designs as the BW2 Autorollers.

The problem with the Titanium line was not only did it not sell so great, it was likely a lot more expensive to produce, so its sadly unlikely we'll ever see those remaining titanium figures released.

Re: collection pictures of unreleased figures

they could just make the unreleased titanium figures with the normal plastic and release them as part of the reveal the shield line.

Re: collection pictures of unreleased figures

yeah.

who the hell wants to support unlicensed products if we can support the official product? I have better confidence with QC with Takara and Hasbro. Plus, takara/hasbro production wise, consumers like me would enjoy this at better price. I really hate to throw my money away especially when I see these wasting away somewhere in takara/hasbro warehouse.

Hmm...I was only aware that the deluxe Classics Prime was a sketch; never knew they made a gray proto version of it.

being honest, I'd have preferred that version over the actual deluxe Prime we got in Classics.

Re: collection pictures of unreleased figures

Between getting a new mould and having the same mould in different size variations, I'd rather have the new mould. plus the deluxe class look G1. I like the one we have now even with the stupid punch action. I agree with tak/bro decision.

having the same mould in different size gives kids a chance to purchase the toy. the classics two pack prime we got, I believe, answered both kids and adult collectors desires. I think the only thing that most of us hated about the two pack was having to purchase it at a higher price and include a fugly megatron. megatron was quite a disappointment. I think the single classics deluxe prime sold better without megatron. I don't see any classics single pack deluxe prime but still see the megatron version collecting dust in stores.
