What's the story with Leader class for AoE?
I've read about the simplification and such of the Leader class toys for the new TF movie, but what I want to know is...is there any word on what toys will be released with the 'Leader Class' designation?
I saw some really cool youtube vids with some rather large sized Dinobots, and I wonder if they'll be Leaders. I know the latest Prime is considered a Leader class but I think they're slightly changing the 'official' title of the class. I'm probably wrong on this, so I hope somebody can clear it up for me
As I collect the Leader line from the movies (lol, my on again off again movie bots!), I'm just wondering how many will be available, if that's out there. Thanks!

Re: What's the story with Leader class for AoE?
I think the only confirmed figures were Optimus and Grimlock. And a Generations Jetfire. If you look back in the news threads you can find the images from Toyfair last month.

As far as I was reading there in going to be a simple leader version and a normal one. I could be wrong I guess we'll find out when they're released.

Re: What's the story with Leader class for AoE?
The Generations Leaders are your standard run-of-the-mill Leader Class figures.
We know of Optimus, Grimlock, G1 Jetfire, and G1 Megatron at present.

Re: What's the story with Leader class for AoE?
Thanks guys....looks like I'll be picking up Grimlock, at least. The Generations Jetfire looks awesome in the pics I've seen, but...is he really in the AoE line? I'd probably pick him up on cool factor (much like Metroplex), but as I only collect one mold for each character, I've already got Optimus, Megatron and Jetfire (Scottish Jetfire, lol!). But I can always be tempted to pick up others, unfortunately I'll keep my eyes open!
And do you guys think that Walmart will be getting the new line? Seems all the 'good' stuff is at TrU, which sadly I don't have in my town. And Walmart and Target seem to carry lots of Generations Deluxes and Beast Wars (well, the contruct-o-stuff too). All the higher price point stuff seems to be TRU exclusive (masterpieces and year of the horse stuff).

The TRU.ca seems to be doing pretty good at their preorders on their good stuff like Generations Metroplex, G1 Reissue Predaking, the MP Soundwave and YOTH MP Optimus. If you have access to paypal or credit card, then you don't need to worry about Walmart or Target not getting them.

I believe Jetfire will be part of the Generations line, not AOE.

Re: What's the story with Leader class for AoE?
as far as I read, there will be:
1) 2 Leader class OP, one is released already. Although the first one one doesn't have "leader" on the box, but the size is same as ROTF Leader Optimus Prime.
2) 1 Leader class Grimlock. And one super big Grimlock. The super big Grimlock can transform in 1 step.

They should both be getting them, yes.
As for toylines, the movie Generations are a subline of the regular generations - Generations is just gonna be shifting to movie toys for the most part is all.
Though it should be noted that for better or worse there is a bunch of chrome on them - personally not a fan of all the chrome on the Grimlock (though I don't mind it on Jetfire, go figure).

If an AOE figure is in the leader voyager or deluxe class it's a generations figure.
