Best/easiest way to get all the 80s marvel comics...
So as far as I can tell there are many different compilation TPBs and the like and I'd really like to have read all the comics before the new run starts... Any ideas?

Buy the LATEST Transformers Classics TPB's from IDW.They are all complete. The first editions were missing issues that featured characters that were the property of Marvel, like Spider-man and Circuit-Breaker,so those issues were not included. The new editions are complete, which sucks as I bought the first prints. ):

... but Circuit Breaker was awesome, especially since I always pictured her as Jeri Ryan.

A lot of issues can be found at your local comic shops. The earlier editions for the most part can be found. I have been lucky and found some in flea markets. Those creepy obscure vendor booths can hide great things. The hardest to find are the final ten. They where not widely distributed and it is a major quest to find them. I am searching for them as well and am always on the alert for them. Good luck with your search.

Agreed. You can go to your local comic book store or check amazon and look for "Classic Transformers" trade paperbacks published by IDW. All the stories are chronological and complete.
The only thing is, this "Classic Transformers" series of trade paperbacks won't be complete before issue #80.5 comes out on Free Comic Book Day. Don't worry about HAVING TO READ the original 80 issue run before the relaunch, you'll put the pieces together.

I used to call her 2 of DD when my wife and I watched the show (well, she was still my girlfriend back then.) It used to piss her off a little which is exactly why I said it....

Re: Best/easiest way to get all the 80s marvel comics...
That reminds me, I need to get those UK TPBs.
Ahem, to answer the OPs post.
Travel 88MPH without running into anything and you should be able to travel back in time. Either that, or just start hunting, if you don't mind the condition you can score quite a few of them in the 1$ boxes at local comic shops and such.
Though they are out of print now, I really liked the Titan re-prints and have managed to complete the entire set in Paperback form, although Matrix Quest is Hardcover, which is kind of annoying because it doesn't mesh with the set. But oh well.
