Odd question. I just opened Cheetor, who is awesome btw, but there was a Dinobot collector card included. Was it not suppose to be a Cheetor card?
|
No, there's 4 stickers you get with different possibilities for the card underneath.
The first wave has Dinobot, Black Arachnia, Optimus and The Ark.

Re: Kingdom Appreciation/ Discussion Thread
I skipped Siege and got into Earthrise late last fall. Based on last year's releases and stock what do you think Kingdom will be like this year? Is it still the usual Walmart and EB Games get a box of the new waves first, then Toys R Us will get their stock in, then they'll all get tonnes of stock that will be on the shelves for most of the year?

Yup, it's pretty much like that so far. Toysrus hasn't got them yet.

Well, depends on when your cutoff is. They haven't been 14.99 for a very long time. They were 16.99 in the latter stages of "proper" generations. Combiner wars was the first jump. The deluxes went to 17.99. titans return and potp went to 19.99. so they've been around 18-20 for a good several years. I don't think it's quite fair to judge a price jump against 15 from.. 7 years ago? 8?
From potp to siege was a full ten bucks. The aesthetic changed but nothing about the toy quality or deco justifies it.
Your math is correct ofc. I think it was surprising how low priced deluxes were for a long time when marvel figures were already climbing. Sadly or fairly if you compare a marvel legends at 30 to a deluxe at 30, given the greater complexity... It's funny tho. I agree with you. There were plenty of toys I passed on even at $15. Now? Lol
Anyway. Had deluxes gone up to 25 I would not have been surprised. Shrug.

Tell me about it! I will literally skip 1st wave figs unless they got freak sales (Kingdom standie voyagers for $30, yeaaaaaaawwwwwww), and just wait for them to crop up at the local TreasureHunt, where I got Siege Magnus, Galaxy OP, & Netflix Mangus all for half price or better
It's a gamble, but tends to pay off, as long as you not an MISB guy and actually open you figs

I'm the first MF'er to bitch about the price increase, and I hate the Siege battle-muck SO MUCH, but I have to goddamned say, Siege-onwards normalizing ankle-tilt? I didn't think it would sell me as much as it did, but recently I've started getting converted
Do I think it's ten bucks better? That's debatable
But lookin at the old Prime Wars Trilogy feet, so many of them are just stumps - and any "action pose" you set up, is largely dependent on how well they can balance leaning on their toes
And this is coming from a guy who LOVES Combiner Wars

You can do poses w/ (Siege, Earthrise) figs that literally defy gravity

Cyclonus: those gaps on both sides of the cockpit... ugh. So close to perfection. Amazing plastic quality.
Cheetor: not worth $30, but fun to have.
Blackarachnia: same.

^^^ The Cyclonus panel is by design from what I've seen online. Supposed to be styled as intakes?
Got Core OP today. Wondering if I have a defect? Waist does not fit snugly in robot mode. Floppy. Also impossible to get his head out during transformation to robot without using a tiny screwdriver type implement.

It's clearly meant to be flush with the body. It just won't hold its position.
