I get all my amazon.ca stuff delivered to my dad's office since he's there all the time Heck I could probably get it delivered to my job too if I wanted.
Yeah, I'm out of town from 7 to 19 everyday, so I always have to send someone else to pick up my shipment. :-s

I'll definitely be interested in buying from Amazon.ca

It'd also be nice if UPS wasn't such a pain to pick up deliveries from if, say, you work during the day like most people.
I though all undelivered packages got dropped off at the nearest ups store now? At least that's what is supposed to happen.

Re: "Amazon Canada taps toy market" story

Is that what happens? I haven't used UPS since last year, when I had to jump through hoops to make sure my SDCC Bruticus would sit in their warehouse until I got back from TFcon, so I could then arrange middlemanning to a UPS store.

It depends. Technically they do the following based on past experiences

1) They try once at the address indicated, not there, leave a notice (but once I got my $600 package left outside on my door which is horrible considering how much they cost)

2)You call them (based on the notice) and tell them your availabilities so they can try again or ups store pickup (depends on locations)

3)pick it up at the depot yourself in the middle or nowhere
