Re: MP Conehead Seekers

I think these are great. Takara wouldn't have done these anyways, and the pictures look they're of good quality; no big panel gaps or anything. We won't know until we get a production example, but barring the quality, I will likely buy these 3 badboys.

Re: MP Conehead Seekers

I'm really torn on this stuff... I LOOOOOOOVE the thrust (He was one of my fave toys back (waaaay back) in the day) if the quality is there and the price point isn't too crazy.. I might take the plunge on thrust and make a decision on the others moving forward... the thing is, I find even the Takara and Hasbro seekers to be kinda delicate. It just kinda scares me.

from the business ethical point of view? I don't believe thes take a chunk from Takara or Hasbro .. not a big enough chunk that either company cares... If it bothers Takara, it's up to them to put out versions so good that they make me regret buying these ones... give the consumer what they want!!! It's hard for me to feel sorry for a company that sold me toys from the first movie, then 6 months later, PREMIUM versions of the same toys

Re: MP Conehead Seekers

Even if TakaraTomy was to release the coneheads, we wouldn't be able to complete the set until 2013 or 2014 given the pace at which they release new molds.

Re: MP Conehead Seekers

I love the look of these, but I do worry about the quality of the final product. If Takara annouced they would be making their own set, I would definitely wait it out for those.

Right now, I'm going to put these as a wait and see (or wait for feedback).

Re: MP Conehead Seekers

The quality concerns me, as does the price. I don't think I should have to pay the same amount for a MP KO as I do for the real thing.

True. You will pay more because they're produced in limited numbers.

^^This.

I liked the concept and the design behind the Ark set, but the execution was extremely shoddy.

The coneheads look great to me, as long as they're durable, then they're a definite purchase from me.

If you notice at the bottom of the "box art" pic it says "based on the work of Wheel Jack of Sector70.com". Here are the original WIP threads for his Coneheads..
