Re: FP Causality CA13

Relax, guys, no need to heat up.
Each limb costs 60, the body cost $120 is reasonable, since it's at least double the size of limb and much more complicate. Don't u agree?

Re: FP Causality CA13

One limb at $60 has more engineering, style, character, quality and flash than a $100 TFC upsized floppy Uranos limb.

$120 Deisel comes with a figure and a trailer and is sooo much more than TFC Silverbolt with crap drone that doesn't even plug in.

FP's prices are great and they did try to get Intimidator/M3 out for $80 in 2012 but inflation prevented that. They could have gone lower than $120 but the e-tailer prevented that.

P.S. I am not heated up. I am just glad I can discuss this here seeing as my keys were revoked form the other place I use to chat at.

Diesel looks so cool that he's a "cost is no object" case.

During personal chats with FP I found out that Deisel would cost more but they were working on a deal with etailers to get the price lower. I was also told that the limbs high price (and I agree $60 was high) was to get the Deisel price lower.

I also know that the talks with the etailers failed and at TFCon 2013 it was announced that Deisel would be $120. I know what FP could sell him for and I know that etailers are the one being greedy not FP and that CP (who I buy from and bought Deisel from) is not being completely truthful when he says he can not offer the loyalty discount because his profit margin is less than 3%.

Yes I said $80 because FP said $80. Inflation was horrible between 2012 and 2013 which is why prices went up.

I see people bitching at FP's lower prices and they praise TFC's super high prices for over sized deluxes with cheap engineering and mistakes that were made with Hercules.

Nothing I ever said about FP was ever rumour, they were facts and the facts changed with the passage of time.
Hey Transbot, just got two small bits of advice for you and the future.

1 - Don't take what someone behind a table at a con tells you as fact until it actually happens, no matter who he claims to be.

2 - Before you go and condemn e-tailers and start pointing fingers, you REALLY need to get your facts straight. Greed does not come into play here at all. Not at liberty to discuss all the specifics on this guy as there are a lot of them, but greed does not come into play at all when it comes to the cost of this figure.

Re: FP Causality CA13

To a3u. I know who I was talking to and who he is so thanks for tip one.

As for tip two, word is being spread that the eb mark up for etailers is less than 3%. We both know that is bullshit

I don't want to give away too much and I'm sure you know what I know, if not more,so if you like we can continue with the real details in PM.

Until then don't tell me who someone is or isn't when I know who that person is. Thank you.

I know who this person is, and I know him very well compared to you. Things always change when manufacturing toys. Obviously, when you heard the price from this person originally, a lot of the tooling was either not finished, or not even started at all, which really does not help figure out final costs for the finished product. With FP, and other 3rd party groups, I'm privileged to a lot of behind the scenes details, especially early pricing plans, and those are always changing from what the group originally planned. When any 3p group starts work on a new product, there is always a price point they pick to stick to, and rarely do groups ever end up selling at that target, as there are always unexpected costs which arise. So maybe FP planned to originally sell Diesel for $80, but after all the production costs, and it looks like it was wishful thinking on their part.

Re: FP Causality CA13

So you are trying to argue that starting a line with the most expensive item has no deterrent to buyers. Respectfully, have you thought this through? What if 13 was 200 would that be a factor. These companies arent dumb and have marketing specialists and rightully so to manipulate buyimg pattersn. Consumers buying patters is a science in it self.

You are telling me any reason to hate? Bro you are making an allegation of hate when im clearly thinking of comsumers and ulyimately i was right to wait and feel good that i did. This early bird special shit is laughable. Look at metroplex 139.99 at tru and 89.99 at costco.

Dont ever tell me or anyome else we are trying to hate. I have no conflict of interest making my comments do you? Do you perchance are making a cut of sales?

Dare to tell me im wrong. They brought out the most expemsive one last and any marketer sould agree with me. Its a great product but $400 total is $400.

This guy telling me im hating when im just making clear observations. This is a business!

What difference is it to get people to commit to this first and then the limbs?

The only difference is that people may wait and then would have to pay a high scalpers premium to buy Diesel.

People just look for any reason to hate.

$80 was a pipe dream. $100 could have happened if the e-tailers didn't get greedy. The early bird price is all BS. The pattern for FP figures has ALWAYS been the ame with the major etailer, preoder prices are ALWAYS lower than the price you pay once the item is in stock. $150?? I have no clue where that came from, just a way for etailer to money grab on a most popular and beautiful combiner.

And as much as I love and support Captured Prey, all that stuff he is saying about profit margins being less than 3% over at TFW is bullshit. 1. No one would pick up the item with a less than 3% profit margin and 2. I know the wholesale price.

The etailers killed the price on this thing not FP, rustme, FP tried to get lower. Not $80 lower but not $120 high and definitely not $150.
