Hey all
Just wondering if you hear the news about the fan-developed Megaman x Streetfighter game. Suppose to be in celebration of 25th anniversary of MM. I think it looks pretty cool AND it's free!!!!
I think that Capcom should be embarrassed that a FAN made this for them. Megaman hasn't had any significant releases (other than 8bit MM9 and 10) in recent years and Capcom has dropped the ball on a number of MM projects. In my mind, here's the conversation in the Capcom board room:
Boss: "Sooooo ... what are we going to do for Megaman 25th anniversary? We cancelled all our projects so we're boned."
Minion1: "Maybe we can release some new boxart for Megaman."
Minion2: "Boxart would be sweet. Oh how about Megaman fruit snacks or Pokemon-like figures. Fans love that stuff."
Minion3: "I was at EVO 2012 and some fan showed me a Megaman game he made. What do you guys think?"
Boss: "How much does the guy want for it?"
Minion3: "He said nothing .... he was going to release it for free anyways."
Boss: "AWESOME! Free development is good and if we endorse it up, we look like GODS!"
