XBOX 360 Question
Total noob question here...
I want to put video (not porn) that is currently on my PC hard drive onto my XBOX hard drive. With my PS3this is easy as pie, but like banging my head against the wall with the XBOX.
I know I can watch the video from a USB stick, but I want to save it to the empty hard drive.
Is this possible to do? I seem to be struggling with something that should be easy.
Thanks for any help.

Re: XBOX 360 Question
USB is the only way that I know of....I only use the 360 to watch vids that have cinevia protection in it cause the PS3 wont play those...I hate watching vids on the 360.

Re: XBOX 360 Question
Damn. I was really hoping there was some magical way that I was missing. Google turned up the same answer, although most of the information was a little dated. I had hoped that there was some sort of work around by now.
Seems like a pretty obvious feature that should work.
Why do people like the XBOX so much exactly?

Re: XBOX 360 Question
Most XBox360 users I know who watch a lot of digital copies of movies on it, do so by streaming the files off a PC. Apparently it's really easy to connect your XBox360 to a Windows PC over your home network and the XBOX360 will stream the media from it.
It does seem like it should allow for media file storage on the hard drive though - if you buy a movie off Their Zune video service it stores locally.
As for why I have a 360 instead of a PS3? Cost (at the time) was a big factor - got my 360 on sale for 189.99 (250 GB phat model when they were clearing those out). I do like Live, though hate paying for it. I'm not hung up on it as a platform though - if someone offered to trade me an equal PS3 and respective copies of my games library I'd do it mostly for compatibility with my PS Vita (which I LOVE).

Re: XBOX 360 Question
Yeah, I had the same issue with XBOX at X-mas. I specifically bought the 300gig to store media and the stupid thing doesn't allow for it.
Couple that with the $100's of dollars in extras that you have to pay for things that are free on the PS3, I just can't figure out how Microsoft is selling these things.

Re: XBOX 360 Question
Because live is a superior service. And what Sony gives you for free is a bribe to put up with their inferior piece of technology.
