Checked out FanExpo today. It was pretty fun. I bought a bunch of TPB's and Tshirts. Got a sketch done by Pia Guerra. I scoured all the comic bins and found a bunch of Marvel G1 comics to fill the gaps in my collection.
Transformers wise, there wasn't a lot. I saw 3 different Fort Max reissues at $300, $350 and $400. One vendor had several Masterpieces on sale for above the average prices you'd see here. Found a Generations Whirl for $35 and a couple Generations Scoop and Armada Starscream's for $25. Decided I'd wait to buy them at retail price. One vendor even had a bunch of 3rd party stuff. Only thing I ended up buying was some G1 Red Alert parts from a guy who had a handful of G1 stuff.

Yeah, events like Fan Expo are a good reason why it pays to have nerdy interests beyond Transformers  Lots of great artists there, too!
Luckily for us, though, we have TWO great shows coming up to cater to our robotting needs...

Fan Expo was pretty entertaining. No Grimlock tshirts or G1 Wheeljacks so I walked away empty handed. Bumped into obakemono and his gal in the lineup to meet Bruce Campbell and got a chance to hear Billy Boyd sing his song "Veil and Shadow" from LOTR: TTT. Lauren Cohan is gorgeous, Ray Park is short, and Eliza Dushku is orange. 'Nuff said.

Huzzah, got engaged!
Shocking no one, I got her a ring that looks like the Matrix...
(She's a physio so needed something that won't catch on clothing or gloves. That's the official reason )
