G1 euro exclusives sold in Canada?
So, I should mention I have an original Thunder Clash that I bought in stores, back in, apparently 1992. I remember it because I saved up my own money to buy it and learned about "sales tax" that day, which thankfully my mother paid for.
Anyways, I was doing some research on TFWiki, and it seems to end the "North American" g1 line in 1989. Thunderclash and his turbomasters are described as "new toys exclusively designed for the european market". Of course I assume that's just an oversight resulting from a US-centric view of north america, but it got me wondering...
Did we get all the european exclusives here in Canada? I remember at least thunderclash and rotorstorm...but did we get others? Like Pyro or Ironfirst? I honestly don't remember...

Re: G1 euro exclusives sold in Canada?
i think we did get pyro and ironfist, along with most of the "predator's" and "lightformers".
i don't think we got overlord, starsaber, deathcezarus or liokizer.
we also didn't get the funky neon colored and powered actionmasters iirc.

Re: G1 euro exclusives sold in Canada?
I think I have seen Thunderclash and Rotorstorm for sure. Don't think I have seen the others in Calgary back then. Sadly I didn't pick them up...
I have just come to Canada at the time and I was already eye'ing TFs LOL

Re: G1 euro exclusives sold in Canada?
Not only did we get Predators & Turbomasters, but we also got the tv commercials for them on some Canadian channels.
I have a bad quality VHS recording of a bad-quality channel losing colour ...of that TF ad.

Re: G1 euro exclusives sold in Canada?
I know Rotorstorm was listed in the Consumer's Distributing catalogue. I remember looking at that one, and telling myself that I wanted it. And got a tad jealous when, a month or so later, one kid on my school bus had one with him for the ride.

Re: G1 euro exclusives sold in Canada?
I think Stalker (later used for machine wars Soundwave) was another one of those exclusives that we got here in Canada, I have him kicking around my mother's place somewhere.

Re: G1 euro exclusives sold in Canada?
The entire 1992 UK line (minus the grey detailing Constructions and the Rescue Force) was released in Canada. Nothing more, nothing less.
Thus:
Thunderclash
Rotorstorm
Scorch
Boss
Hurricane
Flash
Skyquake
Stalker
Snare
Skydive
Talon
Falcon
I have HEARD people say they got Pyro and Clench here, but it's more hear say then fact.
