Re: **SPOILERS** - Netflix Kingdom, your thoughts?

Speech cadence has been horrible since day 1 of that trilogy. Makes the whole thing lifeless, really.

Re: **SPOILERS** - Netflix Kingdom, your thoughts?

I binge watched MOTU this weekend.

I don't understand why a property that is as silly and out there as MOTU can be done so well while transformers can't seem to get a writer who gets it.

Maybe Kevin Smith should take on TF too...

Hasbro should give him a chance. The bar is pretty low, so Smith would have no problem making something better. First order of business is allow him to hire voice actors that are better than bottom of the barrel and give them better voice direction.

Dude even the shitty ass combiner wars machinima series had real voice actors. They still didn't sound great, but that is largely the script and show being trash around it. VA wasn't the issue.

The WFC project is absurd. Was it a fucking contest to see how little they could spend on it? The animation is poor. The direction all around is shockingly pedestrian and dull. The script is terrible.

Were the 80s cartoons just toy commercials? Sure. Of course. But they had a murderers row of all-star voice actors with terrific direction and iconic designs. The plots are stupid, but it didn't market itself as a serious modern take on shit. Beast wars was a toy commercial. It managed to have stellar voice acting, good scripts, and for the time great animation. Even if the cg doesn't always hold up, the show has lively *direction* and pacing.

I'd take Energon overthis shit. Energon!!!!

Re: **SPOILERS** - Netflix Kingdom, your thoughts?

At least I didn't fall asleep through it like the first two. Not a fan of the series as a whole but it could have been worse with the exception of what they did to BW Megs. Turning the single most charismatic, sneaky, manipulative TF that I can recall into a sniveling, brown nosing waste of space what utterly shameful
