Re: Transformers: Generations Deluxe Arcee In-Hand Photos & Review
So Arcee gets the freakishly human like face but we have to endure the 'gritty angry looking' head on Windblade?
I hope a 3P company makes alt-head for those two.

I like it. Simple, but engineers were lazy IMO

not complaining, stating facts. The backpack is very large. But this isn't the 1st good g1ish Arcee. The Animated one was and, in my opinion, still is fantasic.

Good for you that you think it is perfect. In my opinion, it is way far from perfect, but acceptable. The backpack is just too damn huge. I am still looking for a better improved Arcee from Hasbro in the near future like what they did with Classic Jetfire.

I wouldn't blame the engineers. It looks like the backpack could be made to fold/collapse to look smaller, but that would require thicker plastic, additional pins, more molds, and additional steps in assembly. It is more likely that the engineers had a restrictive budget within which to work. For a $20 (retail) figure, I'd guess they likely have about $4 per unit to dedicate to manufacturing (molds, materials, and labour).
