Canadian Slag Episode 30 - Full Discharge

The Slaggers give it their all to try and cover as many poorly named Transformers that they can think of. Names that don't suit, WTF names, and "that's just wrong" names...no bot was left behind! soundwaveCA shatters Shattered Glass off his chest while the rest of the crew adds gasoline to the fire. Then an enigmatic little Autobot known as Swerve was covered in our getting to know topic. Usually a redecoed/remolded character his only original mold is one that's damn difficult to obtain. Finally we question the decision to use the same old movie voyager Optimus Prime mold in the new Unite for the Universe Jet Mode Optimus set in this weeks what the hell were they thinking?!

I never payed attention to the GM Swerve until your current discussion. Now, I feel like I want to get him somehow. Thanks guys.


I like RotF Swerve. Sure, his car mode is...questionable, but I love his robot mode. Reminds me of G1 Sideswipe. So when I'm alone in my parent's basement, playing with my Movie line toys, I pretend he's Sideswipe.


[edit] How about a "getting to know" segment based on the Matrix of Leadership. Does that work?

Well I don't know, like what the Matrix was in the various fictions. I think it was a bit different depending on the series. Then there was that random scene in G1 "Call of the Primitives" you know the one. Then the Bay stuff. Just an idea.

Getting to know the Matrix is a great idea, MG! That would be one very interesting topic to listen to.

I loved the GTK Swerve section! But you did kinda tarnish my childhood by saying my sentimental favorite is always high. I never picked up on that because I always thought it was that his hands could read the make-up of whatever he touched and constantly distracted him. I'm still convinced that Universe 1.0 Swerve was meant to be Lightspeed but Hasbro just lost the name.
