Transformers Legacy Leader Blitzwing First Look & In-Hand Images

Via PrimevsPrime we now have our first look at the upcoming (and yet to be officially revealed) Transformers Legacy Leader Blitzwing! As seen in these photos, Blitzwing is looking very accurate to his G1 self and is shown off in his robot, tank and jet modes. He’s displayed in various poses with his sword and gun accessories as well as being compared with a host of other figures. Interestingly his main “gimmick” for the Legacy line appears to be two large clear “hulk hands” that can be wielded in robot mode and are able to be stored in either vehicle » Continue Reading.

Wonder how it compares to titans Return. Honestly that one was fine and this will likely be smaller and more expensive. Love to see a comparo.

And the award for THEEE most useless appendage accessory to justify charging a leader class price for a voyager sized toy goes to....... Those stupid Hulk fist things.
Seriously, was that from an episode when he for some reason had giant hands that shoot lasers?

Siege Astrotrain and Shockwave had those stupid slippers to make them slightly taller. This is just a voyager figure with a bloated leader price tag, and they're not even trying to hide it anymore. It's literally the same size in tank mode and bot mode as Siege Voyager Megatron.

Let's see the bot mode height comparison to the Titan's Return figure.

Easy pass.

His bot mode looks good but I don't like the look of the tank where the jet cockpit sticks out so much. Also in Jet mode the bottom rear part with all the tank armor looks really bad.

At current leader prices this might be a pass for me. Any suggestions for a KO or 3p that would be a good alternative?

3P would be $100+

As much as I don't like the leader pricing, this sucker scales well with the rest of the WFC toy line.

I'm worried he's back-heavy in robot mode, with that huge turret though.

That's one thick jet. I know the original toy was like that, too, but you think they'd have figured out how to improve things in the last 37 years.

I think the tank mode fails. Because the jet head sticks out way too much. But if u are to keep him bot mode. Its fine i guess. Like everyone said, not worth leader price.... this is a voyager figure.

Re: Transformers Legacy Leader Blitzwing First Look & In-Hand Images

Obviously, it's overpriced for Leader Class. Like, Astrotrain was a voyager but at least they have him the coal car or whatever and a pile of extra guns. I'm not digging the transluscent weapon gimmick of Legacy...

But...

He looks really fucking good in robot mode. Titans Return was fine, but that mold had a pile of challenges staying together. His head was a gloopy mess. Hell, I liked the mold better as Megatron given it's flaws.

I suspect PvP didn't transform tank mode correctly and the jet cockpit stows better.

The bulky jet mode doesn't bother me.

Will I want to pay 80+ for this guy? No. But boy, if I can get a 60 dollar sale or something...
