Yep, so was SS Leader Starscream which was the ER Voyager Starscream with a throne and cape.

I can see SS Springer still being a voyager with the big cannon that he used to shoot Devastator during the attack on Autobot City in the '86 movie.

My money is on 86 Springer being an entirely new mold - better sized and minus all the greebly surface detail BS like they did with 86 Ultra Magnus.


I do agree, however, that 86 Galvatron will more than likely just be an accurately colored repaint of the current designs since there's really not much more they could do to make it look better design wise.

I agree with this.

Siege Springer is a phenomenal figure, but really isn't all that animation accurate when you actually compare him. Also, adding an accessory like the cannon, if done to scale, would not fit in a leader class box. So my money is on new mold with his typical weapon accessories and then his classic missile to recreate that iconic line plus some tight-ass engineering.

Galvatron quite likely will be a repaint indeed.

Sorry, I should have been more specific, I was referring to the rumors/leaks of the upcoming SS86 characters.

If SS86 Blaster is a repaint, aside from Commander class Optimus, who knows which future ones can also be repaints.

But Blaster is a Target/TRU exclusive. He's pretty much Buzzworthy without the BB packaging, and far from the first SS to be recoloured for exclusivity. So hopefully Optimus and Megatron are new molds as they are general release. Again, hopefully.
