Blockbuster has a Sweet Trade on DVD's and Blurays

There taking in on trade DVDs for $3 and BD for $8.

I liquidate my extra dvds a few weeks ago and got 2 ps3's, a 360 and a slew of ps3 games and accessories.

Are they still doing this even though they just announced they're pretty much (almost) closing down?

I was thinking the same thing. It's at least 6 years+ for me. I think I actually owed them late fees too.

I do a lot more renting now. Games and movies. Saves me a chunk of cash to spend on the plastic crack. And I've even reacquainted myself with my local library too.

I've been slowly weeding out my DVD collection of movies I don't watch. I will have to check and see if the one here is offering the same deals.

I know for me, renting games has saved me a ton. Unless it's a lengthy RPG or an action / fighter I can basically just play over and over. It's been far cheaper for me to rent. Netflix covers everything else (And hopefully updates come more often so I can reduce my satellite)

Yes there still doing it, the trade deal that is. In regards to closing down, that is the US division. The Canadian Division has been changing its business plan over and over for the last few years. If they went to online rental/streaming it would be awsome. But I do have to say there redirection to Retail Sales and Used Sales has really give the location by me new life. I'm like other people I had stopped renting from there and Jumbo years ago. But hey if I can buy dvds at yard sales for .50 cents or a dollar and trade it few years later (aka now) its awsome.

Retract comment about Blockbuster not going out of business. Just went down there this evening, and I asked them about it. They told me the took on a 60+ million debit from the American devision when its assets were sold off. Currently, the Canadian division as they put it was actually still turning a profit prior to them taking on the debit plus the loss of there CEO. Something about if the company went into default, they would go after the CEO and Board members personal assets. Take everything i'm saying with a grain of salt due to the fact I am hearing this all from just a shift lead.

The deal is done as of today.... I was talking to the guys last night. Blockbuster may not even exist in two months as they maybe bought out to pay the debt off. Then liquidated to make there money back.

Also because they are going or already in default, I went down there and used up all my remainning credit. Due to the fact that one of my lawer friends was telling me theirs a chance that once BB changes hand they may renag on there creds to customers.
