Snagged a sealed on card classics universe rodimus for $15 for an online retailer in 2010 when he was going for $60+ everywhere else.

Re: your best deal on a transformer

Great thread, awesome to see the deals people are finding...will probably influence my shopping habits!

Several years ago I was trying get G2 hero prime painted as Scourge, and I found a lot on Ebay with him in it and won it for ~$50...which wasn't cheap, but over time I realized how great the rest of the figures were:

G2 megatron repaint as Bludgeon
all six RID autobot brothers
Megavolt Megatron (RID)
and a mint G1 Sixshot

Couple of years ago I nabbed WST Hot Rod for $30 at the peak of his popularity...that felt good

And a good friend of mine donated his childhood collection to me, no $$$ involved just a "I know you'll take good care of them"

Soundwave
Ultra Magnus
G1 Prime
Thundercracker
Trailbreaker
and a few others I can't think of ATM, all were complete with instructions and brochures and in great shape!

Re: your best deal on a transformer

My first item into TF collecting would be off craigslist, $100 for a original release (red takara) MP-01 MIB in 2011.

Re: your best deal on a transformer

My best would be when I snagged a bag with G1 Soundwave in great condition and with most of his accessories (Buzzsaw, his two guns, a missile), a complete Targetmaster Cyclonus (also in great shape) at a yard sale. They even had their instruction sheets! Best seven bucks I ever spent!
