The process to remove a small from a plastic action figure is not easy, since plastic can absorb smells.
I'm guessing Lysol wipes and a bunch of black carbon filters, and multiple attempts to remove the smell.
That's probably why collectibles from smokers fetch for so little.

I got one shipment from somebody who didn't disclose... It was disgusting.

Eww, sick.
The perpetrators tend to be clueless about cigarette smell.

I am really curious how that works.
And NOT being opportunistic, I live 500 km away from Toronto.

Re: TF Thieves in Toronto UPDATE: The Saga Continues
Police auctions were typically advertised through local listing and/or local police announcement on their web site. I'm not sure this is done anymore.
Now you can find a site that has police auctions listed like an ebay sort of site.
https://www.policeauctionscanada.com/
I used to attend auctions (police and otherwise) in the 90s for kicks when they were more common. Internet has made regular auctions a relic of the past for the most part. They were fun little events that inspired images of buying something that was stuffed with something that was missed by police.... they never missed anything.

Correction, they hate the unhoused people who stole from them.

You have obviously never smelled a homeless person.

This my first time reading about this, I'm sorry man, that's rough
I have security cams all around my place and I work from home so I'm here all the time, and I still worry about getting robbed.

I buy used stuff all the time to resell, stuff with smoke smell can go in a sealed bag or container (air tight as you can) with some bounce sheets for a few weeks, takes the smell away completely. Works on cardboard, plastic, anything. Takes a good week or two though.

I've been robbed twice, but limited to my backyard where they broke into my shed... in the middle of the night while we were home. The second time, they made enough noise (they were breaking the chain for the snowblower) that my wife heard them, called out and they ran away (I was away that ONE freaking night).
Since security cameras have become so affordable and of very decent quality, I've installed a few around the house (and inside) now, and I freaking love having them, they really have been seriously useful. Heck, just this summer, I had to deal with the city with some events that I had the video proof that their employees had screwed up with the garbage pickup (with damage done).
For the money spent on Transformers (TOYS!), one should consider putting some aside and get such a system in place, it's very well spent money.
