These are showing up in brick and mortar for anywhere between $39 and $77 store depending. This inconsistency is maddening.

Some stores have it at $34 too.

And don't forget that Walmart classifies the website and stores as different entities so they don't have to honour each other's prices, or price match!!

Which is absolute bullshit and should not be legal.

When they announced they were doing away with price-matching, Walmart specifically stated that they would still match walmart.ca prices. I have got them to do it before. But the item had to be sold by Walmart, not one of the third-party retailers, and not clearance, which I understand. Not matching their own item on regular price or rollback though, not cool.

It unfortunately depends on the WalMart employee you get. You're absolutely correct, and you can pull up the policy on their website; but some employees do not give a fuck. They will refuse to do it and go on about how they don't match their site.

On other occasions, I've done it and the person has been "Yep, here ya go."

It's a total crapshoot unfortunately.

it is really brutal that WalMart basically has the monopoly at this point. Zellers closing, Target Canada cratering (there have been a few detailed articles on just how badly Target botched the expansion, it's actually kind of wild), Superstore doing fewer and fewer toys, TRU becoming total shit.........

Re: Walmart.ca Transformers Sightings and discussion

I never actually visited a Canadian Target or even saw the website. Wasn't it more like Zellers than the US Target?

We do need another option up here besides Walmart, TRU and Gamestop. It will be interesting to see what this Zellers reboot is all about. Sounds like it will mostly be website based, which is fine if they actually have decent product available. Unlike the crappy HBC website which has jack shit when it comes to toys and collectibles.

Target Canada had severe stock issues from the jump that they never recovered from. It felt like a crappier Zellers. Shame as their toy section was good...

I only visited one canadian Target a few times. Mine didn?t looked like a Zellers. I?d say it was somehwere between a Walmart and The Bay. Not as ?*classy*? and clean as Bay, but definitely not white trash land like Walmart. I liked their toys section as well. They were around when my elder was a toddler and we bought many toys there for great prices.
