I have Henkei Hound and I'm never gonna part with him. Yeah he's rare but I think Hasbro Hound should fetch for $30 MISB. That ebay post is overly priced.

I was searching for Universe and Henkei Hound a few months ago cause I collect cassettes and I could not find him for less then $50 on eBay. The figure is not rare but if Ravage was not packaged with him, he'd be a lot cheaper. The cassette mold is the real star of the set IMO. Which is why I think it fetches a higher price. I ended up winning a couple loose figure auctions so the price was more reasonable. If you need it MOC you could go this route. Thats the Henkei version though. Good luck on your search. It's a great set.

That's what I call doing his homework!!! Just sayin'!

I think what doesn't help much is that the Hound and Ravage mold were only made available the one time (at domestic retail). There were no second chances unlike Sunstreaker/Sideswipe/Red Alert, Prowl/Bluestreak/Smokescreen, Ironhide/Ratchet, and so on.

The rest of the figures from the Universe 2.0 line that only came out once didn't seem to have the demand (likely because they weren't labelled as "great" figures - Galvatron, Tankor, Hot Shot, etc) that Hound did.

That said, it's hard to believe that it's going for so much on the secondary market...
